When you redeem your points for Aeon Gift Card you get an extra RM5 for RM100 card. When you top up or buy gift card at Aeon Big you do not get the extra RM5. It's better to accumulate your points and redeem. I usually get mine my thru courier within 2 weeks. When you spend Amex2 during weekends you in effect gets 5% CB + 2% points and another 5% for gift card redemption! Actually it works up to total of 7.1%

I heard from their staff that they are launching a lot of "attack" promos, actually it meant "counter attack" for its lateness. Other banks are already on overdrive in credit card and FD promo campaigns.

Can we keep the Amex2Card Platinum and cancel the Accompanying Master Card Platinum that we rarely used? At least we'll save the GST.

Zero rated is better than exempted. For zero rated the GST input from manufacturer can be claimed back hence effectively no GST incurred in the whole chain.
However for exempted items, retailer cannot charge GST to consumer and also cannot claim back GST during the input stage. So retailer has to mark up its prices to reflect it.
Funny but its true.
