To swipe beyond CC's limit, we just bank in the amount needed (minus the limit readily available)??
So it's like to swipe 10k, limit is 5k, just bank the difference 5k to the CC right?!

smile.gif
*
Yes, correct

QUOTE(cyang @ Jun 23 2014, 10:47 AM)
If I'm not mistaken, U can't bank in this way.

If u want to swipe 10k in 1 lump sum, but ur limit is only 5k, u have to call CS to temporarily increase limit.
I don't think they allow NEGATIVE figure in ur Outstanding Amount, so u can't deposit extra money into the CC.

Correct me if I'm wrong.
*
You can have negative value in the CC.

Transfer fund from Saving/Current Account to Credit Card which more than the outstanding balance is not allowed in Maybank2U. However, u can choose to deposit from CDM, other pay your CC bill from other bank (Interbank GIRO/MEPS), or pay via cheque.

QUOTE(adala @ Jun 23 2014, 11:07 AM)
during early days of maybank2u, we can pay extra to the credit card and then can even get interest paid on that amount.

then they realized they will losing money and set a limit in maybank2u to pay up to balance only.
*
that's a big loophole last time, now no longer get interest when statement shows negative balance haha.

ezy cash offers to Maybank card holders. 3.88% one time handling charges for 6 months repayment. Min request is rm2000 up to 90% of CL.

Anyone mind to tell me what is the effective rate for this package? Im usually take 2.99% one time handling charge of Call for Cash by OCBC for 12 months repayment.
*
why bother to pay interest when there are so many 0% BT out there.

3.88% for 6 months is equal to 7.76% per annum if u wanna calc.

2 different, 1 is CASH, 1 is purchase

If the intention is for extra cash on hand, I definitely opt for cheaper/free way, why let bank earn the interest. Unless you don't have outstanding to BT.

Buy 1 free 1 for IMAX as well.

Sorry for noob questions. What the different between IMAX and Standard if it not applicable for 3D?
*
IMAX is extra wide screen, only applicable to 3D, like double of ordinary screen size

Hi guys,

Just added my Amex gold into paypal, Received an sms stating that 1USD is being charged into my card (haven't purchased anything, just added the card into the paypal account). I do know that Paypal likes to do this for card/bank verification. would like to know how long does it takes to receive the back payment?

BTW guys, anyone here experienced fraud with Paypal? I have know of some cases ranging from RM1000 til RM30.
*
Usually the pre-authorize USD1 will get reflect immediately, without showing on your online banking / paper statement.

However if you do verify the card by asking for 4 digit PP code, the amount will stay in your PayPal account. I got stucked USD10 there sad.gif

PayPal dispute team is quite efficient on handling fraud case, encounter 1 time few years back, settle within few days after I file complaint to them.

last time i remember adding new card must do that..
not sure because of i do this verify..i don't need to call maybank CS to 'unblock' each time i make payment with paypal...
*
The verification process is for account status (only do 1 time), or spending/receiving limit for the card.

Adding new card to the account not necessary need to verify.

And yes, other Mastercard/Visa charge in MYR10 (automatically set off if you purchase anything in MYR, ie TGV/GSC). The reason USD10 for Amex is due to Amex do not allow PayPal to charge in MYR.

But I got my flight ticket transaction declined, over my credit limit of rm15000 by rm4+++.
I have to settle partially then only can buy sweat.gif

7 PAYMENT
7.1 Upon receipt of the monthly statement of account of his/her Credit
Card Account, the Cardmember may make payment as follows:
(a) pay the entire amount of the Total New Balance on or
before the Due Date; or
(b) make Minimum Payment as follows:
(i) where the Total New Balance is within the Credit
Limit, not less than five per centum (5%) of the
Total New Balance subject to a minimum of Ringgit
Malaysia Twenty Five (RM25.00) only.
(ii) where the Total New Balance is in excess of the Credit
Limit, the whole of the amount in excess thereof
together with five per centum (5%) of the Total New
Balance.
Provided always that the Minimum Payment shall also
include the amount Past Due as shown on the monthly
statement of account.
*
Not as much as 4xxx of course.

Attached Image

The T&C u given is for the payment after you receive the monthly statement. If you have outstanding which exceed the credit limit, the only thing u face is u cant swipe until u make settlement.

P/S: I over the credit limit every month, recent statement shows lower because I have EPP running so no point showing here.
