How much FD one have to place in order to get a Platinum MB2C Amex/MC? RM20,000?

Which branch should I contact or call up to get this done, without revealing my BE Forms or salary slips.

i remember one forummer here pledge 20k, i feel you can try lower perhaps 15k. (At the end of the day, amount you pledge = your CC credit limit)

I think you can try per below

1. Place X amount as fixed deposit with Maybank for 1 year
2. Bring your FD Cert to their card center and tell them your intent.

Hi all, a nob question: is upgrading to 2 card Premier will loose the 5% weekend cash back? Is so, then really not worth it as the only gain is lower Enrich conversion, esp if one already owns Maybank visa infinite, right?
*
problem is VI only earn 2x TP on local expenses, the Amex get you 5x.

And yes, premier only benefit those who want air miles.

you paid in advance, Charge you May 2014 is for May 2014 - April 2015.

So another card feature been cut off; i suppose can't cancel Master / Visa since the product is named "Maybank2Card"

So mean this year or next year still remain the same GST for the existing 2kard holder, the following year you still need to pay RM100 for GST and another RM100 for supplementary.

So conclusion, you got a year time to look for CC replacement if you want to cut 2kards  sad.gif
*
my understanding

Existing holder (Before 9 July 2014)

For life (until they say otherwise); Principal RM50; Sup RM25

New sign up (After 9 July 2014)

Principal RM100; Sup RM50

Not sure if just plain bad luck sweat.gif

Applied through Maybankard Centre @ 1 Utama on Tuesday (Public holiday), understood that 1-hour approval cannot be done (as it's public holiday). Completely understand & ok with that. Promised that next-day can collect the card.

Wednesday comes, followed up with them, they said there's some issue embossing the card, tomorrow only can collect.

And today comes, and they now says the card embossed, but cannot deliver to 1U on time, another "tomorrow only can collect".

God knows what'll happen tomorrow rclxub.gif

why not call before u go? or ask them to notify you when it is ready?

I've just called Maybank and it seems like everytime I wanna use Amex to pay online like Groupon I need to first call up to ask for the transaction to be permitted otherwise the transaction won't work. Is this true?
*
for me it is direct, they also use the SMS code thing so i don't know why your's work this way.

i use amex often on groupon, hassle free.
