yes, but don't really get the relevancy behind tie both visa and amex together. since we are forced to pay service tax for 2 cards now, shouldn't we be given the option to cancel either one? i could replace the visa with something else that would be more rewarding  hmm.gif

just my 2cents

comparing to mbb2cards *now* vs when it was launched back in 2011 is surely different.

mbb2cards USP (“2 is all you need”), market competition, latest offerings, rules & regulations already changed between 2011 -> 2014 smile.gif

and since Maybank took over Amex card operation in Malaysia back in 2006, mbb2cards really make sense to spur amex acceptance, adoption, and usage smile.gif

yes, ever since mbb charged RM50 per card for mbb2cards (pressured by BNM? competitor banks complained to BNM?), this combo product doesnt make sense anymore.

hard-bundled cards have its advantages and disadvantages. soft-bundling is better (i.e. able to cancel either card) but will lose the 'stickiness' sweat.gif

Yea...I am lazy to go there also so usually I pay online.
*
What I did was I go to Sunway Pyramid and overpaid 2 of my umobile postpaid bills, each rm200. Since my amex cb quota seldom get fully utilized, at least I saved my travelling to pay umobile bill.

Both postpaid overpayments will last me till end December brows.gif

If you plan majority of your spending on weekends, you'll gain more using Amex than Visa/MC.

Amex's 5X TPs is equivalent to 2% (in TPs), higher than OCBC Ti's 1% (in cashback). Effectively, Amex in weekends give you 5% in cashback and 2% in TPs, that's 7% worth of gain each month..

If you have other cards to complement, e.g. OCBC Titanium or HLB Wise, then use those for weekdays and/or higher spending.

any particular error you received?

call up CS and tell them you're trying to link Amex with PayPal. they need to know you already hit error (captured in their system) before they allow you thru.

Hello everyone,

Just want to ask and confirm, the Amex cash rebate is following transaction date or post date?

Let say transaction date is 5 Sept (Fri) & post date is 6 Sept (Sat). Is the transaction entitle cash rebate?

Thanks,

does not matter who you're paying to.

as long as you can pay with AMEX and transaction date = weekend, that transaction will entitle rebate.

if the cash prize is rm20, and telco charge is rm0.15/sms (depend on your respective telco rate), then you can send about 133x times until that prize doesnt mean anything liao brows.gif

at most maybe try 1 sms per hour. now, still got 5 hours to go. thumbup.gif

9-July's PDS stated supplementary GST is RM50 each card. now mbb reversed it again.

here's the google cache of the 9-July PDS

few posters also mentioned the RM50 each card in this topic.

~10k points in each month or total 6 months cumulative?
