17. Dell got no installment plan with AMEX and you won't get cash back if you purchase online on weekends.

Just to check, is this still applicable to Dell..the cash back?

Set aside the pre-approved issue, have you get your statement on this and charged rm50 GST?
If not, I'll just take the card since it is giving good cash back and TP.
If you are a regular customer of Maybank, they already know how much money you have, so why they need the so-called supporting documents?
A credit card does not really need approval which is the right procedure in the first place. You want a credit card, you can have it within 1-2 hours. Just that banks are lazy to make the card on the spot.
That's why always take the credit card on the agreed branch, this can prevent any potential fraud. Maybank cards no need to call card center to activate.

Please refer to BNM's policy on unsolicited çc.

Unsolicited? I guess this is not considered as what you said.
Pre-approved does not means approved, it still need our verification.
And the bank do called, right.
Unsolicited banks like you said will be HLB, never honored what they said, like they put "dining" as cash back, but with small fonts until not much people can see and then say cannot get CB due to MCC different.
For my case even better, they can provide me the MCC.
Which is worst? A bank that call you first or a bank that does not honor what they said?

The topic starter mentioned that the bank will send the card in 2 weeks time. He did not state that he has given any approval or sign anything. So yes, that is unsolicited.

I quote,"The central bank has also prohibited the offering of pre-approved personal financing products, such as unsolicited pre-approved credit cards."

Yours, is a different case.

I didn't. Mods usually will usually drop but maybe maybank 2 cards are getting dull with no promos, so they didn't come anymore biggrin.gif

23. For EzyPay via Amex aka installments during weekend, cash rebate and treat points will be given for the FULL AMOUNT one shot and not by the monthly installments amount.

Guys, for installments given by the merchant (not bank), the 5x TP will be given one shot too?

if instalment given by merchant, i think they will charge you by cash monthly. if they can allow you to pay by cc, then the 5x tp will be given one shot too. because the instalment deal is between you and merchant, nothing to do with bank already after payment.

alright thanks.

Hi Guys,

My application has been approved. Just checked at M2u.

Would like to ask a question regarding statement & due date.
It was stated that the statement date is 06/09/14 while Due date is 26/09/14.

If I made transactions during this month, my statement of Sept will release on 06/10/14 which I have to pay off before 26/10/14 or 1 month & 20days from 06/10/14?
Do enlighten me on this. smile.gif

Appreciate all your kind replies. icon_rolleyes.gif

23. For EzyPay via Amex aka installments during weekend, cash rebate and treat points will be given for the FULL AMOUNT one shot and not by the monthly installments amount.

Meaning if i swipe on a weekend, i will still get the cashback but no cashback for subsequent monthly installments even if it falls on a weekend?
