QUOTE(Human Nature @ Oct 9 2014, 10:07 PM)
- So finally it is my turn for unauthorized usage. Received 2 SMS alerts for:

3.39 USD At Glory of Zion
166.95 USD At Fishwest

- This is for my Visa card which I have stopped using since Nov 2013.

- I contacted CS to report and found that there is another 200+ USD transaction.

- So my Visa card is blocked and I will receive a replacement card with new number within 5 working days.

- I can still use my Amex as usual.

- If the merchant claim the transaction within 7 working days and it appears on my M2U, I will have to submit the dispute form.

- No police report is required.

Add: I just checked M2U, the card has been blocked so I can't check if the transactions have been posted or not. So how do I file the dispute?  hmm.gif
p/s
Glory of Zion is a charity org, so I believe the hacker swipe a small donation amount to confirm the card's usability.
*
I got mine reversal of transaction within 60 days, local dispute/fraud, not sure about international.
You'll get the transaction reversal for sure as if the card is swipe/process in non 3D.
Maybank will not bear for the fraud amount, the processor that process your card will bear for the fraud amount brows.gif

does activation of MSOS help us to prevent internet fraud?
*
It wont prevent fraud as there are some processor still bypass the 3d verification.
But if any fraud cases, the processor will have to bear the amount.

Can we keep the Amex2Card Platinum and cancel the Accompanying Master Card Platinum that we rarely used? At least we'll save the GST.

banks are smart, even if it's possible to cancel the MC/Visa, they might implement new rule to charge GST on your AMEX. in the end, there is no difference, they might still charge you RM50 whether it's one or two cards...

The merchant will lose in the dispute as the card is not process with 3D Secure.

You don't have to pay for the dispute amount and wait for the statement date. If the dispute amount still there, fill up the form.
If the next month statement date charge you for the interest unpaid dispute amount, you may call their hotline to waive it. brows.gif

but now is rm100 for 2 cards, so there's a difference of rm50 gst per card (IF managed to cancel it).

If manage to reach RM50 cash rebate monthly, one shall have at least 60,000TP and that's equivalent to RM240 value.

What are you expecting from Budget? Reducing personal income tax by 5% for every tax bracket?
In your dream brother as they already mentioned that for 1st year of GST, they will gain less by rm1B.
Giving free medical? Again, this is the service I won't use as far as possible.
So we need to budget our self. No more cinema, use Screamyx or Unifi to watch movie.

Some preview for hard working Malaysian.
* Fuel subsidy further reduce, prices change based on income levels, vehicle types and engine capacities.
* Reduce subsidy for essential food items, such as flour, cooking oil and household gas
* 6% GST as we all known
* BR1M increase, how many of us will benefit from it?
* Minimum wages increase, scare off foreign investor, more job loss?
* Increase of RPGT

* Lower corporate and personal taxes

That's how Malaysia pay back hard working Malaysian biggrin.gif
