QUOTE(Current Events guy @ Sep 29 2014, 12:23 PM)
I just got back from travel overseas.

Card 1 has outstanding balance of RM1K.
statement balance is 0.

Card 2 has outstanding balance of RM12K.
statement balance is also 0.

My credit limit is RM12K combined. Right now I'm at RM13K.

Question:
1. Do I need to worry?
2. I have the money to pay it off. Should I pay my outstanding balance now or wait until the statement comes next month?
3. Can I not use the card anymore until it's paid off?
*
Pay it ASAP, I think they can penalty you on over swipe. Give card center and call.

no such thing for Maybank. I always swipe over the available credit limit.

But I got my flight ticket transaction declined, over my credit limit of rm15000 by rm4+++.
I have to settle partially then only can buy sweat.gif

Something new to me. I don't know we can swipe above our credit limit
This "rule" apply to other bank credit card or only MBB?
*
I only believe in the T&C from Maybank.

Not as much as 4xxx of course.

[attachmentid=4151869]

The T&C u given is for the payment after you receive the monthly statement. If you have outstanding which exceed the credit limit, the only thing u face is u cant swipe until u make settlement.

P/S: I over the credit limit every month, recent statement shows lower because I have EPP running so no point showing here.
*
So what's the point to have a credit card but can't swipe?
And no need to make full settlement, partial also can, as long as the next transaction won't burst the CL.

Over swipe doesn't mean over spend.

Yea over spend is a bad habit if can't pay it off on time.
*
For CC, swipe = spend. If you are not going to spend, then why swipe it?
Unless you want to hit the max cashback.

I had the same issue as well. It seems that they had some problem with their server yesterday and in the midst of solving it by end of today.

My due date was yesterday and I make known to them that if any interest occurred should be waive as it's Maybank issue not mine plus I had good payment record as well.
*
Sometimes the update are slow I guess. Just make sure your transaction from savings stated you made the payment thumbup.gif

lets hope budget 2015 give more goodies to hard working Malaysian.
after 10% increase of ron95, we need more rebate/tp from credit cards.
*
What are you expecting from Budget? Reducing personal income tax by 5% for every tax bracket?
In your dream brother as they already mentioned that for 1st year of GST, they will gain less by rm1B.
Giving free medical? Again, this is the service I won't use as far as possible.
So we need to budget our self. No more cinema, use Screamyx or Unifi to watch movie.

Annual gross income got > rm60000 or not?
Try not to get tied up with your FD for this.
And if you are maintaining good record with Maybank for certain period of time, you don't even need FD thumbup.gif
