why use amex card must do transaction for verification, call to service centre and verifiy, then only can proceed?

so troublesome. any way to overcome this solution?

security purposes.

however, i am only required to do that for overseas transactions. you need it for local as well?

Last I check, paypal don't deal with RM for local transactions but maybe I'm outdated.

AFAIK, no online portal accepts AMEX. It has to be done over the counter

I am going for business trip oversea next month. Am I have to inform Maybank to enable / activate the cards for oversea transactions, or I can straightaway use the cards?

The cost to call is very very minimal, so why not just make the call?

Best practice is to call before your trip to avoid unnecessary embarrassment and high roaming calls.

IIRC, as long as it is all connected to the same Maybank2u account, which I think it would be, same IC registration right? Then your treat points will be accumulated. You can check under rewards in your M2U account. They will show treat points from each card and then the accumulated points from all related accounts.
