Ok, here's the story.
I sold one unit of motorola V3x pink to one of my customer. That day the price went up RM 40.. So, i told her and she said don't care since i stated there that price. No choice i waste RM 40 get for her. Then use GDex to post to penang for RM9 also i didn't charge coz she not willing to pay for it.. I somemore Free her screen protector also...
Then she got the phone edi .. She very happy.. After a few days... She complaint me selling her a VODAFONE set.. I told her sometimes AP comes wif that coz it's from other country.. Then she said i cheated her.. Many story about i am bad guy.. I got snapped pic and let her see first... She agreed wif that.. She din read here > http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=35924 to understands more about AP set first..
Secondly, now she having problem with the charger.. She ask me replace new one for her.. I said AP set only covers the tranceiver 1 year and battery 1 month.. Again she said i cheated her..
Shud i replace for her?
I already wasted RM 53 for this deal..

Ask her to send the charger corpse to you if it's not working. Test it, if the charger confirm not working then send her a new one. If it's working then send it back to her. Fair for both parties.

I already wasted a lot on this deal.. If i replaced new charger for her and post.. I waste another RM20.. Which total up of RM 7x wasted for this deal.. Today i told her charger no warranty for AP set.. That's why she posted bad comment in my thread..

handphone price similiar like pc hardware price, sometimes going up and down...
actually u should mention the hp's price list validation until when to avoid confusion...
if price valid till 31th, and she order on 1th, the hp price should follow the 1th new price
if price valid till 31th, but she order on 31th's 11:59pm, the hp price should remain to 31th price...

for the charger cant comments anythings, maybe the buyer accidentally damaged it or really faulty or exchange with another damaged unit... if really want to free hassle, i prefer to get original set hp rather than AP... for ur case, u should recommend her to get original set so she can exchange the charger at any service center... but u sell AP set, you are the only one to responsible on it...

just thought pay RM7x for a lesson... customers always right... not choices for sellers...

I got told her price might go up and down anytime...
Then the next day.. I asked her.. Price went up RM40.. How? She said she want it already.. Dun care.. ! So, since she so urgently want it.. I waste RM 40 for her.. Nvm... Since she ordered it already..

Charger faulty i really cannot do anything.. AP don't cover the warranty for it.. She need it so urgently.. I also no time to test the charger.. Only got time to snap pic and ask her ok or not.. Then wrap and post..

I got told her the original price and she said expensive.. I know original is better.. Charger got warranty 1 month.. Now i also encourage people to get Original set..

was she pay before the price +RM40?

She paid on the day the price increased RM 40..

Did u agree to sell to her or reserve for her before the price went up? If yes, then u have to follow the old price, otherwise u may be another FFK seller? Nobody knows when the price will go up or down... If the next day the price actually went down instead of went up, would u sell to her at cheaper price? No right?

For the charger, i think you should replace a working one for her, since u're the one that didnt test it. Nobody wants to buy a faulty thg. And u're supposed to give her a working charger, right?

Erm.. If the price went down.. I really got reduce for my customer.. I think you won't believe it but i did.. Feel free to ask me for their nickname and i will tell you that..

I got told her already.. I said " The price might goes up or down ... I cannot control price... If down i reduce for you.. If goes up.. you have to pay extra ".. she said ok but act different when i said it's increased.. Maybe she over confident that the price will goes down..

The charger not faulty at first.. Now she said it's loosen edi.. She cannot charge due to the reason it's loosen..

Well I believe Amedion has taken all the precautions to keep his customer well informed about the products he is about to sell. He did his part about the warranty coverage, and moreover, he already sent the customer a photo of the phone. If the Vodafone logo is obvious in the photo, then we can safely assume that it's more of like customer's ignorance.

Either way, it's better to wait for princess_ac to tell her part of the story. Hopefully we can work this out.

maybe she think she have insurance from you bah. next time she lost the whole handset, then also can claim from you

oh yeah why you have to pay the postage instead of the buyer?

actually as a seller have the right to do cancellation for a business if the profit is too low... otherwise why have buyer want to bargain till the seller starting not willing to sell their products?

To be honest i think your price is quite cheap and reasonable. Almost as cheap like UK that sign monthly contract even though with cash-back (such as W810i and few SE models) except for the N91 that i am using now which total cost RM1,650 (pay monthly for one year) plus free minutes and so.

Maybe you are cheaper than some shops too, I remember 4 days ago when my friend gonna get K750i and they charge my friend for RM950. I think you are too kind for this sales anyway. That's for me. You waived the postage charges for her, and you give free gift and so but she just dont know how to read the AP set and original set means. Anyway lets princess to share her story here.

hi ppl, for your infomation...he told me the price was at RM1000, n he asked me to bank in deposit before he can confirm my buy. so we both agreed on RM1000 and i banked into his account RMRM50.00 as deposit...after doing so, the next day he told me price increase n he make a lost n all...but is it my fault?? i've alredy banked into him the deposit on the agreed price...so most definitely he cant suddeny increase the price right??? bsides...when he took the pic of my phone, the phone was wrapped in a plastic, so obviously its not that clear n he didnt tell me its gonna b a Vodafone. he should take the initiative to tell me right??

Not to said the money increase problem because im not Amedion. But you shouldnt blame the seller regarding the vodafone logo, you should only expect the same model and original parts from sony ericsson plus a year warranty from local shop by the definition of AP set. Vodafone logo will not affect your phone not working etc

Okay here's my opinion la.

i) Regarding about the agreed price yada yada yada... You must understand that phone price changes very frequently. We handphone dealers do not keep stock. The price might have change between the time you deposit the cash and the time he made the order. This is how the handphone price fluctuates in the market.

ii) Well, why didn't YOU as the customer take the initiative to ASK him? It's not like he can read everyone's mind that you want the vodafone logo or not. I've see buyer personally requested him not to get a vodafone set. And some customers are just fine with the sticker. Sometime you can't put all the responsibility to the seller, you as a customer must do your part to help yourself. Anyways, I request Amedion or Princess_ac to post the photo of the phone so we could see if it's obvious or not the vodafone logo.

Sorry ya.. Now I checked back.. She did paid for postage.. My apologise for posting without checking..

Actually, we as handphone seller already biasa wif the VODAFONE logo.. It's very common already in the market.. We also think it's normal only.. How i know it has so much affects on her?

true even my friend sign a contract with vodafone also have vodafone logo. Almost 50% phone from vodafone shop have the logo, somemore he is so happy because not everyone have that logo.

what network you using? I dont think that logo affect so much because i have given my mom a W800i with vodafone logo also pump with unlock firmware but dont have problem like urs also.

Price is set by the supplier. It's no fault of you that the price increase, but it is no fault of Amedion either. You think he simply raise the price as he like izit? Anyways I think I've explain enough la... BTW, as far as Vodafone logo is concerned, I'm sure don't have this losing signal crap, but then I might be wrong. Perhaps you can open a thread in the handphone forums and ask the pro there regarding this matter.

Amedion, and advice for you la in the future, avoid making a transaction on the day your supplier update the price. or one day before. This will avoid problem like this again. For example, if price is updated on Tuesday, avoid taking orders on Monday.

honestly, amedion should've told her there's a Vodafone logo on the phone. some ppl might not like it as it'll show that the phone is an AP. but heck, princess_ac, it's just a damn logo. get over it. and since u said there r some problems with the phone, just send it back to amediion to get it rectified (install new firmware, etc). no need to moan about it here.

but seriously, the seller should honour the price on which both him and the buyer have agreed upon, regardless of whether the price increased or decreased after the agreement. that's the risk both seller and buyer have to take.

its not the vodafone logo that is giving problem.is the internal, everything inside is catered for vodafone. even some function...its stated vodafone etc n i cant changed it...example the games, its all vodafone LOCK, i cant ply the games. n at the main screen its stated there's a button for vadafone LIVe. i cant enter gprs, cos its already set to vodafone live to vodafone network.
i'm not mad or anything, im just unhappy that he didnt tell me its gonna b vodafone. if i would have known...i would definitely not purchase it if i know its gonna giv me so much problem right?

Leng lui, VODAFONE really don't have much affects on the phone.. You said the technician there told you? You also said technician there told you V3xpink cheaper becoz it's more lousier than V3x normal , rite? They are wrong.. As i said in MSN before.. V3xpink cheaper becoz the accessories not same like V3x normal... Other than that everything is the same.. Just the colour different.. I suspect the technician there is newbie? Or just graduated?
The phone is the same.. Every AP company got unlock it and use ASIA firmware.. Safe to use like normal phone already..
Now, i replacing the charger for you.. Problem solved?

right this is my case, i signed w810i with vodafone logo because it is from vodafone shop in UK. I come back to malaysia and unlock in LYP. Then give to my mum, my mum never complain bad coverage. For me, i think the vodafone internal factory just change the housing otherwise all the things is same because it is still assembled by SE. She also using maxis

Well you do have to understand the risk of getting of AP set. Sometimes the package might change from week to week also. For example z530i. During week 2 till week 5 the supplier gives an extra battery and front plate cover. However, week 6 onwards they might not give.

And once again, as a buyer, you cannot depend too entirely on the seller when buying phones. Because they do not know what information is relevant and what is not. The best solution is the buyer itself ask around what to ask/look for when buying new phones. That's why we have the handphone forum in LYN

hmm...first about the price argument.

It's already agreed price at RM1000. Also, the buyer already paid deposit for the booking price. So, seller should not change the price even if it dropped or increased. If you have kept stock for the phone, the price change of 1 day should not affect you. But since you did not keep stock, you have to bear the differences. That's business.

Second, about the vodaphone logo. Whoever technician the buyer checked with is stupid or liar or both. This kind of people who give false information should be brought out to public and bashed with bad apples and eggs. It is this kind of people that makes the IT world such a mess! Buyer, please use some common sense when listening to people. Don't just take their words for it eventhough they are "professional". Some of the functions might be locked to vodaphone but the signal dropping is definitely not because the phone is vodaphone. Maybe you have a faulty unit or maybe it can be rectified with firmware upgrade. Anyway, this is out of the seller's control. Just try to solve the problem without calling him a conman.

Third, you are buying a phone through mail. Didn't it ever occur to your that when there are problems, you will need to bear the cost of sending the phone back to the seller? Or you thought things like this will never happen to you? Or you are just ignorant? When you go buy at shop, when the phone have problem, do you ask the seller to pay you back for petrol and parking fee?

when i get the phone, of course i need to ply around with it to get used to it right. after few days i discovered most of it i cant use cos its catered for vodafone line. i did msged him at msn n asked him about it. but he blame me for not telling him that i dont want a vodafone set. but how would i know right? im just a naive buyer that dont even know vodafone exist till i experienced it now myself. he should hav told me mine is a vodafone set n etc. yes he got take pic of the whole set of my phone before sending it to me. but the phone was wrapped in a plastic so i cant see clearly its vodafone. like i mentioned earlier im new to this whole thgy whereby AP set got vodafone.he should hav told me...n it will be hassle free

AP set could have vodafone logo, but a complete firmware upgrade should clean away all the vodafone stuff in your phone. This happens to me when i do in LYP. I think you should send back to amedion for proper firmware upgrade.

About the games or Gprs problem , send back to Amedion to Flash it to newer Firmware then.

That's why I was suggesting that Amedion should not take orders on the day the phone price list is updated or one day before. If the customer insist on it then he should explain the risk of price increase or price drop. Even the handphone shop I often buy from always try to refuse to take orders on Monday, because on Tuesday he will update his price, and sometime he might order on Monday and Tuesday only his supplier come, if supplier comes on Tuesday, he have to charge the customer the updated price, if go down, good la...but if go up...die..

Because of that he had this policy of not encouraging customer to make orders on Monday. Troublesome, but then it avoids this type of situation from arising.

I also want to change for her but it's all over a week plus already then oni she told me she don't want vodafone... How can change? Not i dun want to change.. My supplier won't change for me... my customer ldhong.. i also took K750i vodafone for him.. He said dun wan.. He want QUICKSHARE.. I changed for him straight..
At first she also over-excited she got the phone edi.. She also look at it and get a hold of it.. VODAFONE logo there.. She also said " Yeah ! I received the package edi ... ! " .. Means you happy with the package already..
Then, suddenly after a week.. Told me why i didn't tell her it's VODAFONE.. bla bla bla.. Must have heard bad things or rumors about VODAFONE coz it's a brand from UK..
