After getting that 5-9K, 10K, 15K, 20K Sound system.
Seriously what's the rationale in spending that kind of money would justify?

I could live on at least half a year of food supply with that kind of money.

After upgrading to that monster coaxle cable and all that stuff, what kind of music you're gonna listen to, after that huge investment? Hokkien evergreen? or those typical (make no sense head banging) ahbeng disco sound? doh.gif
Unless you want to listen to good quality music (maybe adult contemporary) then at least i could understand,...BUT to have such good quality ICE and to play less than average quality music, really baffles me.

I dunno, maybe some of you must have too much money or just couldnt lose out (kiasu) to the next guy. Maybe i just can't stand those typical ppl who spend monster budget on sound system and start playing those "dub dub dub" music (yeah like that's quality music justified to used on quality ICE) and for the sake of showing off his investment, turn up the music so loud even with his window fully wind up but still horribly loud from other car is enough to justify that kind spending?

Maybe now i know why Malaysia Buleh really flourish in this ricekid-cultured country.

Thats y i just spent only 300 on the HU of my Gen2 (Phase 1, amp and maybe speakers are coming later)... I prefer to go for these ICE items on a shoestring budget... Even though the equipment is cheaper, i can still get quality sound and listening experience without having to spend a bomb!

And btw, i ain't a head-banging music listener... I prefer to go for songs played by Mix FM or Light & Easy as these are more relaxing tunes while driving (although the noisy ones come out for long-distance trips, prevents sleepiness due to boredom thumbup.gif!)

Also warrior, you've posted excellent points there, bro... Good thinking! icon_rolleyes.gif

Ok, the first thing you need to get into your head is that there are lots of ways to spend lots of money on ICE. It is unfair for you to label everyone who spends a lot of money on ICE as the same kind of person.

The "dub-dub-dub" ones are the ones you notice. There are thousands of others running around with setups that you cannot hear, but cost more than those ricer setups. Get it?

I just bought a new car, and have just spent 20% of the total cost of the car on ICE. And I am not done yet. Why? Because I insist on getting a very high level of sound quality from inside my car. I spend a lot of time in it, and it is worth every penny. Trust me, when you put on some nicely mastered classical music or some well-produced contemporary tunes, it is really warm and detailed and as you drive you enter a different world. It is amazing.

There are lots like me. If you think all people who invest in ICE listen to disco or techno and focus their money on massive subs to impress everyone else, then you need to get out more and you need to sit down in the driver's seat of a car with at least RM15k of equipment thrown at it in a good install and listen to your favourite CD. Then, my friend, you will understand.

@threadstarter
i agree with deadlock... in the end it all comes down to personal satisfaction... labelling people who spend money on ICE just aint right... what about people who spend money modding their cars? or buying expensive cars or bikes? or building huge houses.... same shit different bucket dude... in the end it all comes down to personal satisfaction.

one man's fun is another's hell.............

Difference people difference point of view mah... some just need sound loud only, some need SQ, some need SPL...Depend what level you can go for loh..... U?

I am also the type of person who would throw in $ for personal satisfaction inside my car, which is also considered as my 2nd home.

I can't recalled back whether he received prize in money but he definitely brought back a trophy and it is still kept by his installer KF Audio. AMMA is a sub-group of EMMA. EMMA - European Mobile Media Association . AMMA - Asian Mobile Media Association.

If you want your money well spent, I reccomend you go for SQ. Do some research and join internet forums such as IASCA. smile.gif

When talk about budget, first we must talk about what we want. If not going for very high end, rm2-3k will do, can get a 'good' setup.
22 to go.

@threadstarter

again it all come down to personal interest. some ppl would spend 1k++ a month at cybercafe. some ppl would spend a bomb on pc.

can you justify that?
