first time to help an old lady to solve a myvi door window stuck problem.
passenger side door window failed to raise up even press the window control buttons on both driver side and front passenger side.
it could be lower down by pressing any one of the driver window control button or the passenger side window control button.

unscrewed and opened up the arm rest cover at passenger side, cable wiring seems alright(though no multimeter around to measure the voltage change).

does any one here has this experience and how to solve it?

is it due to mechanical issue or electrical? how to distinguish and troubleshoot?

thank you for any recommendation.

Last time I had the same prob. Sometime ok sometime not. At 1st I suspect it is because of the motor. Finally I found out that it is because of the wiring prob. Bad contact. Motor still ok, bo prob.

Did you lubricate the rubber gasket railing?

I'm had same issue, I used a mix of olive oil and Vaseline. Rub it on the rubber gasket railing.

Maybe the contact point in the switch dirty or have some residue on it...just remove and rub with fine grade sand paper...it will solve the problem...happened to my viva b4...

yes, it becomes sometime working sometime not working now.
when press wind up/down button can hear the "click sound and motor react sound once"
no multimeter around so not sure whether wiring issue or not yet

so kind of you to show the picture. don't know where it located. suspecting the gearing not gear up or motor, really want to verify but don't know where to open to see the gears in your picture, could you guide?

the control unit housed in an hard plastic box in driver side, thinking to swap the other window lines to the problematic window lines to verify but need some tools. if it is the control unit, as long as there is a spare one, should have no problem to change, very easy. notworthy.gif

Just fixed it by replacing a master control switch. Very easy.
