Beware and do not register ur credit card for auto debit and only use cash for payment.

Just happened to me where I cancel my membership 2 months ago, the staff ask me to give him the card and refuse to do the SOP of giving me a form to cancel, he claim that he will notify the branch manager to get back to me.

Knowing something wasn't right for sure (same tactics happen back in Melbourne where the staff never do cancellation and expect u to get trouble since they can draw from your credit card and all u can do is to lodge complaints via your bank or cancel your card), I had to report lost and get a new card replacement in order to cease them from drawing money from my card.

And today, after 2 1/2 months, they call me up and wonder why i never visit the gym, and claim they knew nothing about me cancelling the account.  They urge me to go and sign the proper form for cancellation but I probably not going to turn up, knowing they will give u a lumpsum of amount to pay off by telling u that u still owe them since the cancellation isn't done.
