Hey Guys,

My xbox has started to act weird for last 2 days with vertical lines and today started to freeze. Does anyone know what is the cause?

Also is there any repair shops in Penang?

Please advise.

3rrod soon, send it back to SG for repair/warranty

if these is the old fat console, you'd better change to new console, not worth to repair those old pre-Falcon chipsets console

my previous xbox got this kind of problem too (artifacts/ graphic errors). each time I wanted to play, I need to reapply the cheap thermal paste and it could run for 2 hours max only lol... finally I opted for reballing/ resoldering which cost RM400

and new console is around RM600, with warranty (of not modded of course)

I know this is abit late, but if I was you I would sell the xbox360 away now when its working. reballing doesn't mean permanent fix, sometimes the problem will come back.

few years back I had a friend that did that, lasted 3 months no more warranty. asked to pay again for reballing, 2nd time reballing better buy a new unit.

btw please go original if you are buying a new unit, save the trouble.
