LOL, I also having exact problem this morning on 2 of my pc, connections stalled then has to restart. Another one on router no problem at all.

I activated the windows firewall then no more w32 pop up until now (3hours tested). So I guess you are on direct connection, dloading torrent files right. Post back here if this method works.

Haha...I not sleep too, frikin tired...

I am guessing this attack only on windows xp sp2 or maybe ahem* windows xp, HOPE not a new tactic from tmnut shaping our p2p. if so, encription 10x also no use.

direct connections (direct from modem without router) coz router has firewall protection.

ok here my latest status:

2 pc's with direct connections (no router)
Operating System: Windows XP Pro with SP2
Firewall: default Windows XP - ON
modem: ZTE & Aztech 900eb2
p2p: running max
Comment: both stable since 9am after enable windows firewall

2 pc's on router.
Operating System: Windows XP Pro with SP2
Firewall: none
modem: Router
p2p: running max
Comment: none problem & no pop up at all

1 pc (office) direct connections.
Operating System: Windows XP Pro with SP2
Firewall: default Windows XP - ON
modem: Aztech 900eb2
p2p: running max
Comment: edited - ok it is working with enable firewall too. earlier thought it stalled when I couldn't vpn back, i just pressed wrong pass.

So, all are fine now with Firewall ON. your bting won't slow if got the port open in firewall.
