Hi Guys,

I am a web designer and was thinking about attending some short courses that could help to improve on my UX and UI skills. I tried to search on Google but the result doesn't seems good.

Anyone could be kind enough to recommend me with some?

im currently working as a designer and working closely with the founder of UX Malaysia. For me i think the fastest way is to see more, ask more, research more..Well im also still in learning process coz UX is definitely not something easy. And of course attending some workshops?

UX & UI design

Work in customer relation sector can get better statistic trough feedback or question. UX & UI different due to culture, you need that local experience if you are working locally, Some fancy design might work well with foreigner but not local.

Magazine give you rough guide lines on how to start.

I rarely have seen any local speech especially on design. Even books are very limited.

You should decide, what interests you more.. here's a quick differentiation between UX and UI - https://www.instagram.com/p/BvmBdkVBsB8/?ut...g_web_copy_link

If you're into UX, here are the online resources I'd recommend:

Interaction Design Foundation [Link] - paid online course for 1 year

Udemy - User Experience (UX): The Ultimate Guide to Usability and UX [Link]

As for books, here's a good place to start:
1. Don't make me think, Steve Krugg
2. The design of everyday things, Don Norman
3. Sprint: How to Solve Big Problems and Test New Ideas in Just Five Days, Jake Knapp

Unlike UI which you could start designing right away, UX projects require a little more leg work.

P.S. There's also a training being conducted this month for interested UI / UX designers - Becoming a digital product designer. Details can be found here; https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1oza9NdTflj...LUU6QeNYAF_oADI
