As in my previous post, I am inclined to getting an iPad for note taking and making it part of myself [i.e. music, sports, etc]
I've watched the Strength add from Apple and found it inspiring. However, knowing it to be an advertisement, I am cautious.
I would like input from you guys, to see what uses can the iPad do well and reliably. So as to add to my decision on buying an iPad air/mini [i've gotten a note10.1 before but it has failed me miserably as the note taking function was not up to scratch and it ended up being a good toy, but nothing more]

Game, net, photo editing, udang.

Note taking is better if u buy a physical keyboard. I prefer to use my phone.

What's udang? Yeah I most probably will get a sleek keyboard if i get the ipad air, but the ipad mini seems able to take notes whilst moving around. Difficult decisions

Have u tested both air n mini? I dont think the size difference is dat much..go to any apple shop n give it a try..personally, i prefer ipad air..coz its smaller than my current ipad 4..n the physical keyboard, the thickness is like u r carrying 2 identical ipad. So wont be dat hard la..i've seen a lot of my mat saleh's friend been using it.

I mostly use it to browse the internet. Other than that, gaming and apps.

i use it as a mini TV ... really!

you can stream or download many series, movies, shows and bring it with you where you go. (I use VLC to stored videos)

other than that I use it as a large GPS (google map or waze).

use it to open facebook, 9gag, check email, or check movie ticket, or google search something in instant.

but all these required internet.

I'm interested in how you use it for MS office stuff. Is it ok for typing and etc or do you find it troubesome?
Is it good in replacing your laptop when you go out to a cafe or something?

i use it to store my lecture notes so i can read it on the go and save papers (and trees)

It is good for simple editing but for a Full presentation from scratch still I use my Macbook Pro... but when I go out for presentation I will carry my Iphone 5 or ipad mini and during presentation when need to do a little changes or simple editing no problem... I dont want to carry such a big laptop very heavy and leaving it in car is NO!!!

Web browsing & social media. From my experience, browse Facebook on iPad have a better user experience than on iPhone.

P.s as tips, try to buy applecare for extra cover atleast if any screen crack, apple able exchange 1 to 1 for free and buy otter or survivor for extra protection

I've been using it to browse the net and check e-mails quickly without having to boot up a computer. It's brilliant as an ebook and/or manga reader too. Streaming TV shows from the computer using Plex works great. I also use it to take notes and sync to other devices using Evernote. Occasionally I'll use it as a recipe book when I'm cooking in the kitches (recommend you use a case/protector for this, obviously). And finally I play games that are (mostly) unique to the iPad like Device 6, Year Walk (now on Steam) and Monument Valley.

i think the mainly usage of ipad is for entertainment (social media, movie, games, photos)
still prefer laptop to doing uni and working stuff
anw ipad is great
kinda love ipad mini series since its more portable

web browsing, SNS website, games (particularly, the famous COC)

Browsing Lowyat, Flipboard, Godus and Reddit

Email, surfing net, FB and some light casual games

bro, this is k5. there is one shop in ara damansara whom able to customise a casing to suit the k5 HU. it was put at the front of the HU connected to AUX by a lightning converter. thus, the steering buttons can be used for playback while at the same time not losing the Infinity speaker sound

lecture notes. i only bring those latest weekly notes to college, all the old ones will be kept in my tab

tutorial notes. while laptop being the main notes, tab can be used as a tutorial question and answer

flipboard and other news apps - works wonder in tablet

web surfing - light surfing, checking stuff on web. for heavy use notebook is still better

stock watch - KLSE stockwatch to daily monitor stocks and company news and announcement

ebook reader - this depends, i find out ipad is very bad for bed-time reading. colors are too sharp and makes me unable to sleep after rading. ipad mini 2 will do the job better as the color is not too saturated

as i graduated from school now, i hardly take it to my workplace. so now it's more likely a white elephant compared to my school days where i often bring it anywhere i want to. main reason it's getting real lag and there is not much time for me to play with my ipad during work

Actually iPad is not really what I would buy to watch movie. It sucks. I bought Acer W4 for movies and productivity. Much better than iPad.

Still I had 3 iPads for myself, wife and kids. Really enjoy it since I only need to buy app/game once and had them on all 3 iPads. Gaming performance is iPad main attraction. Lots of games, paid or free, and best of all was the image quality and smoothness compared to Android. Another usage was for reading manga. This though depends on whether you are willing to pay USD5 for them. I rarely use them for emails because of the limitations, but Facebook, web browsing, online shopping are not bad at all.
