i dont know about tour agent,but i know some friends who are freelance tour guide,it should be easier.it's a fun job,you get here and there,good tips and commission,my friend only commission alone already 2k plus,not yet plus basic and tips.

get a diploma in tourism management if cant afford a degree.get the test as a tourist guide,i forget what the test call.cost around 1k.

you need to be a sociable person and good memory to tell the history of the places,it's better if you can speak various language like chinese,japanese,english,cantonese. now a days asian market is big.more and more china people travelling but they dont speak english.china tour guide dont speak good english,so they need malaysian chinese who speak good english and chinese.
