to be honest if neone helps. They will charge you 1k or 950RM for a 769RM phone so maybe you try ur luck using a faster internet connection?

Faster internet is not the only solution. You also require luck too. My advice try to find someone who is selling with reasonable profit. But before that I will surely suggest you to try yourself one round or two rounds if you are able to buy one. I bought mine for 769RM .

No such thing as luck, learn from buying guide (1st page) u can only be success if ur r ready.

the following monday got update on the flash sales be at 17/6/14, waited and luck i guess, managed to secure 1 at rm769, awaiting to arrive.

my office internet also slow, so i just tethered through my galaxy nexus (not 4 nor 5, but 3 which is samsung made)..

purely luck i guess.

mu uni's internet connection oso not d best, but managed to get 2 units.

A few important thing to point out.

1) Register the miui account first. Coz when u purchase u nid to log in.

2) Log in 1 hour earlier. That is my case. When 12pm, juz refresh, and click buy. Coz if u log in at 12pm, u will rebut wif other ppl, bottleneck. That's why so many ppl complain they can't log in. Coz the server only accept a maximum of (insert number) of connection. And also they don't terminate log in sessions. So my advise is, log in 1 hour b4 sales start. I'm not sure if they disable the log in function or server limitation, anyway, juz log in 1 hour earlier.

3) Use ur desktop's sticky note. type ur details such as, full name, IC number, credit card number, shipping address onto the sticky note first. Then when sales start, u can juz copy paste it into the required field. This is way faster than typing.

4) Have a back up credit card/paypal or debit card. My fren's debit card cannot use. Lucky I have my dad's credit card as back up.

5) If ur using credit card, they also require the last 3 digit of the numbers bhind d credit card, type that in ur sticky note too.

u dont need fast internet,decent speed is ok already(512kbps-1mb)

i use digi 3 prepaid internet,each session never fail(except the very 1st batch),already help my fren book many pb/mi3 already.

as long u got time(11.57-12.00pm),and a smartphone with any internet ,u can book one(consider now no more jam on mi sites)

your debit link high chance gonna fail(as it does mine),in the end,just use the visa debit card to pay,it will work

u can try paypal first,but it wont work(apparently,other member told be need to call bank for paypal thingy)

in the end,i take my debit visa card,key in front number,then 3 number on back,sms code come,key in that code, selesai 

dont have to worry bout pay first,as you can pay within 24 hour from ur pay order,if all fail,just ask ur fren with credit/paypal to help pay, secure the item first 

like i said, no need to bother much about the paypal part. You have 24 hours windows to try paying either with your
paypal account or debit card. U need to focus to fill up all the detail after checkout. That's all. After you done, u basically secure the item already.

the      part is during flash sales on every Tues, 12 noon. login 15mins earlier. from thereon, it all depends on the speed of your fingers + internet speed edi.

Additional tips

1.) Log in half hour earlier into www.mi.com/my
2.) If u know how to do Chrome auto fill, prepare ur address in 2 line, if u donno try key into sticky note then copy & paste on to the order, if u key in manually u can't make it on time.

First name is your name, Last name is ur family name.
Post code r prefix so u choose according to closses eg. if ur post code 58000 mean u choose like 55000 - 65000

Key in simplified address as space r limited, eg Jln for jalan & Tmn for Taman, u can key in actual post code eg Jln Bkt Bintang 55000.

Note : Xiaomi is following internet time no your computer time, keep on F5 to refresh the status of stock, before sales start it will show out of stock, just F5 it, once 12 pm status will change to Buy now.
