Quite impossible. The way these distribution channel works plus the advertising cost alone already add a big chunk of overhead for Samsung. Not to mention they had to stock phones, parts, and also run a service center is also adding to the cost. You know if you talk nicely with them, you can get it repaired on the spot. I don't think you can find anything close to the level of service Samsung provide. Yeah, their phone is getting more and more expensive but you are paying for more than just the phone itself.

U r actually paying advertising fees to convinced u into buying Sammy & A Fruit, U also paying Dealer shop rent, sales staff commission, warehouse charges what not.

Probably S5 & IP5s can be your for 1300 or less.

Base on economy of scale bigger manufacturer cost should he lower.

I didn't see what so special about Samsung after sales service, pretty normal if u ask me, firmware update for mid range also nothing to shout about, My S3mini start with JB 4.1.2 now still stucked with it, same go Mega which still in JB 4.2.2

I got so so service from Samsung SC only, be it phone, electrical appliances.

If Mi3 is equal to that of Samsung Flagship at 1/3 of it cost, Samsung can gulung tikah already.

Xiaomi SC swap 1-to-1 leh. Samsung got meh? So overall Xiaomi SC is way better than Samsung.

Only 1 I think. Because Mi3 very low defect compare to Note 2. Note 2 always spoilt one. QC for Note 2 is worse than Mi3.

I considered getting the phone but when I noticed it has no SD slot, it turns me off.

Since Xiaomi is becoming more and more famous in Malaysia now, plus the plans provided by local telcos, etc etc, I wonder if those phone stores in Lowyat plaza already followed the trend and started to sell the Xiaomi accesories such as SP, casing, earphone, mikey, etc.

Could it be yours telco line issue? Last time I used Samsung S4 n Digi no line inside my office. After switched to U mobile no more issue.

So far I'm using Mi 3 with U Mobile also no issue.
