Surau - smaller mosque. Not all mosque got minerat. Some surau got minerat. There are some requirement by state islamic council to make a place as a mosque or surau. For friday prayers, can say all mosque will have it but surau also have. If there is no mosque nearby, surau will be used for friday prayer, normally it is being used in KL cbd.  You need to observe the location first, if the surau is used for friday prayer. Personally, I'd avoid any place of worship if it is very near. Every religion sure got their own assembly one, so I wont get myself near the traffic build up due to ppl parking everywhere.
