you can change to a full account, no need the disc. Just need to change your subs type, i think. I never used the trial version, can't say much.

Lately these 3 days I'm having terrible ping and a lot of time out to 124.150.157.26 for my character. I'm using streamyx 4mbps and my server is Tonberry. I am wondering if it only me or everybody else having this issue. Thanks in advance.

I found out, one of my daughters, her smartphone whatsapp auto chat backup to Google Drive is the culprit. Because I'm only on 4Mbps Streamyx, my upload rate is low. Uploading large videos backup will make the internet unstable.

Can I know what's you guys' average ping?

I am getting 130ms, and I tried a few things which so called try to route my connection like mudfish but the ping like same only ..

I've seen some people said if in high rise and the building is using copper wiring, there's just no way around it. Is it true?

I've had the technician come my house almost 5+ times just to solve it, and only one of it said something like that along the lines. But they all ultimately don't know and just guessing.

I'm gonna try again when tmr after the patch is done and see if all these VPN thing works or not.

Whether you live landed or high rise property , tm technician also cannot solve your problem on the ping rate.
130ms is consider ok and normal. Besides, i thought you using fibre optic instead of copper line for unifi ?
The only way to reduce ping to oversea site is to use vpn.

I'm using maxis. But according to them, even if apply unifi will still have to use copper because that's the underlying setup for the building.

I tested the VPN thing, but only get to reduce like 5-7ms. Like sweat.gif

the +30ms is not ok, not ok at all. Those not affected are at 100ms average. I've even tested this at my work place, using maxis, but I already confirm with them commercial or residential, it doesn't even matter, it's all treated the same, not "commercial gets better node" thing.

The average ping to google for everyone is 10ms. Even copper also 10ms, as I believe streamyx is using copper. I come from landed property and streamyx setup before, no problem with ping. But I don't get what's the difference between that, and my apartment.

All the technicians buat bodoh jer, saying it's "normal", "no problem", excuses.

I think.. it's mainly because it's an old building where you living.Fibre optic piping was not installed in old building back then. There are no trunks/pipes to wire those line to your floor.
There's difference between business and home broadband. Home they won't do anything but only use any existing method to hook up the broadband to you. But as for business, they will liases with external wiring contractor and also the management of the building to seperately open up a pipe for fibre optic if there are no trunks available for fibre optic. New building high rises house does have fibre optic ready and it does not use copper.

For vpn, try either wtfast or battleping. I myself using battleping to reduce the lag and it has significantly reduce my poor random 200-400ms lag spiked connection to 50-60ms. Wtfast i'm not too sure but has heard good reviews but i don't like it because of the complicated configuration to setup. I like battleping because they're literally nothing to setup. Just switch to Malaysia server and click connect .

TM has specific routes to major search sites and speedtest sites. So testing speed with these site is inaccurate as to think that your speed with refering to this site has low latency. You'll be pinging like locally connected WAN to these sites.

To check your true connection speed to ff14 server , bring up command prompt.
do a ping to the ip.
Do a tracert as well.

For your server's ip refer to this website.
http://arrstatus.com/
Click on your server and switch it to ip . It'll display the server's ip.

For my side, every 10-20 ping bound to have one fail. Blame it on TM run by monkeys. We have to resort to use vpn services.
