i have a question for ramuh ex

i tanking him at start... then suddenly dead and each member one by one dead  = wipe

2nd try... i tanking him .. less than 10 secs off tank provoke him off me... then dead and everyone dead

wat did i do wrong here? i tot off tank have to collect 3 orbs only provoke ramuh off me?
or main tank have to collect 3 orbs together with off tank

Haven't done ramuh ex for quite sometime.

You need to collect orb as a tank inorder to survive ramuh attack, 3 orbs will prevent you from getting killed by ramuh cleave attack. If you take a 4th orb you go into overcharge, usually done during phase change like add phase, you take reduce healing but still able to survive ramuh attack, the only heal that works on you will be lustrate.

OT needs to take 3 orb before provoking ramuh off you. Any additional orbs on the field will increase the dmg taken by the party, hence the need to clean up the orbs when tank already took theirs.

So both MT and OT needs to get 3 orbs, MT while tanking it, and OT before provoking it.

Better to stick with PC unless your PC spec is low, cause a decent PC will perform better than the PS3 version. It will only make sense if you go from PC to PS4 since the performance is more comparable.

Bear in mind that your hotbar/crosshotbar, gear set, macro, keybind, HUD, etc are save locally, meaning that if you decide to play on console you will need to setup the whole thing again. Took me a while to setup my setting again on PS4 but being able to use macro command to copy stuff from 1 hotbar to another class hotbar helps a lot.

If I not mistaken you can copy the FFXIV installation folder and run it on a different PC and it will still work, not sure on the proper steps though but you probably can find it using google.

Aoi Bequin
There's a couple of areas where the mob groups kinda close together (like near the firesand etc) Those areas I tend to clump the mobs so LNCs and PUGs have easier time with their positioning. But that archer I had. Oh my god. THM sleep the mobs he go AOE. I mark the mobs, he go kill wdever he want. Raise my blood pressure. Some more Japanese so can't ask to stop the AoE

Well I would said just ignore them and do your job, if they pull agro ignore that as well and let them die, cause well it's their own fault. No point getting all work up about it. You can use auto translate to tell them not to AOE but I wouldn't actually waste my time on that.

I just leveled up my dragoon to lvl50
also while doing the job quest and as most of you know at quest lvl 45-50 is when u get the class armor piece by piece
and as for dragoon it's the Drachen set
but the most interesting part is it also rewarded the wyrm's set
so it's a dual sets of dragoon armors received
and I checked gamerescape (just to be sure) on the quests and showed that supposedly it shouldn't reward the wyrm's set and only the drechen set

is this a glitch or a gift? (or was it mentioned in the new expansion update? if that's the case I must've missed it)

It's new due to expansion, SE helping players to catch up in terms of gearing.
So a lot of quests in ARR rewards better gear.

Finished with Heavensward story, 1 word "AWESOME"

So how is everyone progressing with the new content? I am glad that they amount of LAW needed to get gear is much lower than last time and also getting the upgrade from Centurio also much lower.

This is only the preliminary New Tome gears. There is another one coming very soon.

Yeah i know, even then during 2.0 the first tome gear wasn't cheap compare to the one we have now. I guess it's to let players gear up quicker for Alexander. I have all the LAW gear and only need a bit more Centurio to upgrade them.

The new dungeons really depends a lot on the group you go with or get in DF, if I go with my full raid group or at least 3 of us, we can burn stuff down like usual with no problem. I haven't had a chance to run it with full pt with my raid members since some of them are still leveling but I am sure we can speed run it with no problem, just not sure how fast.

Don't forget at the start of 2.0 the only farmable dungeon was AK with Demonwall as a roadblock. It's only later on when player gear up that they were able to speed run it. So it's the same now, once players start to gear up you will start seeing speed running again. At the moment, speed running is only done by preform group.

Weekly cap on the other tome gear is already expected, with costly purchase and upgrade. It's just a stepping stone till Alexander hard is release.

start to play this game (again) since last friday and so far, the momentum is still there, especially with the introduction of several few classes. just realized that for me to go to ishgard, i need to complete all the main scenario quest and when look at all the quest list, i am still inside 'through the maelstrom' story. so, definitely need around 4-5 days at least to complete everything considering the limited playing time that i got..
*
Don't rush it and enjoy the story. Also all lvl 50 dungeons and below can be down using undersized party, so if you know any lvl 60 players you can get them to help you with them, they won't be level sync to 50, making the dungeon runs so much faster.

Well Alexander was pretty fun, easier than expected but then I was with half of my static and 2 pugs. Got lucky and got tokens from Floor 1-2, and 4, so only need to farm Floor 3 now.

Got my Hive weapon as well, but had to run 10 times to get all the tokens as we got a few repeating drops and monk claw never drop.
