Hello everyone, just joined the site. Been looking through this thread once in a while for a few months now, guess it's finally time to join (since I have questions too). I'm taking Physics, Chemistry, Maths (T) and Pengajian Am for Form 6. Wanna ask if anybody had the (dis)pleasure of writing the wrong number for choice questions? I think I did just that for my Physics essay a few days ago and wonder if I can do anything about it.

This is the correct answer:

Can you tell me what have I done wrong in my calculations and why the correct answer makes sense?

IMO, both solutions are wrong.

To me, the answer is simply the probability of finding 4 or less flaws in the last 10 metres of the cloth, since the flaws occur independently of one another in a Poisson distribution. Thus, the answer should be 0.9636.

The answer is A. I'll write out the solution if you feel you need it.
