The story follows Ryō, a middle school girl who lives by herself. She has a knack for cooking, and she makes friendships with everyone through her food. The cooking manga is "full of detailed cuisine art to whet the appetite and slightly erotic meal scenes." The "kōfuku" in the title is a wordplay on two Japanese homonyms — one which means "happiness," and another that means "appetite."
Director - Shinbo Akiyuki - Madoka Magica, Monogatari Series Script Supervisor - Okada Mari - Hanasaku Iroha, AnoHana, NagiAsu OP animation - Umetsu Yasuomi - Kite, Mezzo Forte, Wizard Barristers OP vocal - Sakamoto Maaya
Somehow this grouping managed to come up with something absolutely heartwarming delicious (in both food and moe yuri). That said, rather than Shinbo, I believe real credit goes to Deputy Director Tatsuwa Naoyuki, who had directed Nisekoi under Shinbo's guidance as well, and you can feel some of the animation cuts commonly used in Nisekoi. I get the feeling Shaft is using Shinbo's name to attract the audience while slowly grooming Tatsuwa to be his protege. Besides having an OP and ED (the animation seems to be clearly unfinished), there's also a cute song each for the preview and end card segments.
Dis anime~
