i got a question here

i have an extra casing on my hand , i had strip the top and both side off and front panel off for a repaint

What kind of sandpaper i can use ? ( and i tried 400Grit .. damn painful process ... )

And .. the front panel is plastic ... how ? use sandpaper also ?

after sanding , apply primer ? let for it dry for how many days ?

then after primer color coat right ? after colot coat , clear coat ?

then done ?? is it just that easy ?
