QUOTE(ntw @ Jul 10 2014, 03:03 PM) the white ones are keycool black on white PBT, the black ones are vortex grey on black PBT. just get a full keyboard and change the keycaps, but make sure u using a standard layout, "gaming" keyboard have a different layout and not compatible with most keysets link to the 60% scroll keyboard?what i mean is the IMSTO, BSP those are much better than the keycool ones i have ![]() looks quite convenient eh the blue and grey PBT version looks a lot like the Ducky G2Pro edition which u can still find locally. but FYI, recent keycool keyboards have changed to Kailh switch instead of Cherry switch |

QUOTE(Human10 @ Jul 21 2014, 08:08 PM) wow, that's close enough. But I think a row of function keys is enough, others may be kept under FN/PN. kmac mini ftw! its an old custom but to me the best looking keyboard...I got money but nobody wants to sell it...plus its verrryyyyy hard to find these daysAs for the cursor keys. I think may be going the kbt race style, using 1.5x sized keys as cursor keys and replace those doubled right Ctrl/Alt. |

QUOTE(dadudeneverabides @ Jul 21 2014, 09:46 PM) Thank you all for the feedback. Previously thought to make something closer to that of a Lightsaver (compressed TKL) but now we have instead we have: you got that layout perfect....f6-f10 as secondary function rows since they are not commonly used compared to f1-f5 row.----------LYNK70---------- » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Almost! however I prefer the arrow keys to be slightly distanced from the cluster of keys . Maybe not too far like the normal TKL layout but just slightly...0.75 units away perhaps? |

QUOTE(zennasyndroxx @ Jul 22 2014, 12:43 AM) this looks better. lesser space wasted. i think we can set fn layer whereby fn+page up will trigger home and fn+page down will trigger end. they essentially do the same thing, scrolling. so i think placing fn trillers for end and home would be okay. looking forward to the progress of this project.. I'd be glad to jump in the bandwagon when a decision is made! |

QUOTE(881118 @ Jul 27 2014, 02:37 PM) Ya, somemore it has no bling bling. simpleFor newcomer, they really wonder why should they pay for RM400+ for a keyboard that looks the same as the RM30 one. At least other bling bling mech kb are more attractive in terms of cosmetic, given around the same price OR cheaper. rm30 = sucky feel keyboard, cheap feeling, lasts 1 & 1/2 years abuse bad investment. rm400+ mkb keyboard = very good feel = improved work output = positive feeling to mind and fingers = customization = long lasting ( my filco tkl lasted a good 5 years and still going strong, i have kbp and gon38gt too and they're still good ) good investment. these points are good enough to justify your purchase but most importantly dont jump the gun in buying one before studying about mkb first. There are other types of mkb too, like topre switch keyboards and alps. p.s : dont lambaste people by calling out a regular of this thread a fan boy, you are the noob kb here so please show some respect if you wish to expect some respect. We are open to giving you good info, you don't wish to be alienated here bro. Your title in lyn already given 'Enthusiast'. We already know your worth here and understand how much hard work you put into earning it, so we expect you to do the same to the regulars here. QUOTE(dadudeneverabides @ Jul 30 2014, 05:47 PM) Don't think that's likely. PCB is made by Topre, and I suspect the switches are the same. So the core of the keyboard is high enough quality. Get a replacement TKL case (might go custom for this one), and then get a nice smexy set of caps... You have my almost-endgame board already But i like my end game keyboard to be 60% topre with mx cherry compatible stems. |

got around in getting a poker 2 white in mx reds...it somehow gave an extra appeal to me over my previous v60 mini using granite dsa pbt keycaps which is weird haha...
may consider letting go of it once I get my hands on a good 60% alu case for either of my kb pcb's |
