Hmm, my team recently moved to a new office spot and thus 'new' machines + keyboards. Got stuck with this crappy keyboard (can't really change since most spare keyboards they have are French layout) where it annoys me to the point that I am considering of bringing my Ducky (brown) to work...

Any recommendation for an easy to carry around mech-keyboard for work?

I bring my Filco TKL to work daily using a hand carry laptop bag. With complete padding laugh.gif

Felt cumbersome plugging it in and out daily but the comfort of using a mech outweighs the trouble.

One day I forgot to bring my mech to work... and one day is all it takes to remind me how much I need my mech everyday.

oh yeah brows.gif brows.gif
but have to build up my patience and salesman skillz first.

among my coworkers,
90% of never used a keyboard costing more than RM 100
10% identifies Razer as high end keyboard

hard to justify the cost in this situation doh.gif

not to mention having to explain switches, keycaps.. rclxub.gif

Cumbersome my arse. I do it everyday.

I had my CPU placed on the ground so I have more clearance on my desk.

So my daily routine involves me looping the wire through the wire hole and crawling under the table to plug the USB tongue.gif

And the reverse before going home.. Well, quite cumbersome in my case. sweat.gif

Are you using Filco with fixed wire on the back of the kbd? If so then yeah, quite crumblesome, why not just left it? Scare kenak stolen? Doubt anyone will notice it can actually buy 50 of their keyboards, LOL biggrin.gif
Anyway if it's detachable, might as well order extra from justnits, save the trouble... just a slight more. wink.gif

For me I'm plugging in and off my laptop and Poker 2 everyday, won't feels trouble though cause I just like this feeling when I'm typing right now.
Newer laptop rubber dome feels even weird and stiff... MX Brown feels much better, just louder when I bottom it out... sweat.gif

Yup, fixed wire. Well, I need to use my Filco at home as well biggrin.gif Getting used to the trouble now.

Not considering to mod it to detachable at the moment since I don't see the need for it yet sweat.gif

Your IMSTO bottoms out loud and pleasurable eh? brows.gif
Maybe can silence it with O rings.. but you might not like the change in feel though.

Oh, I'm actually using my Poker 2 with its stock PBT at work, the bottoming feels is almost similar due to the thick PBT I think, feels much solid than the thin ABS that I used to have with Filco (only few days though) and with Taihao Olevetti, not to say I didn't love the double-shot but thin ABS just couldn't do it for me, if I got enough dough, I'll probably just source for Dyesub or Double-shot PBT, the later is hard to source and expensive as hell though. sweat.gif
*
Definitely dude. But it's wayy better than Filco stock ABS laugh.gif

So far the PBT doubleshots I've seen is from feng's ebay store, mechkb.com and/or mechanicalkeyboards.com. Need to cough enough dough from these places with the shipping sweat.gif

If not mistaken PBT doubleshots are OEM profile.
PBT dyesubs are Cherry profile.
(correct me if I'm wrong)

So you might need take that into consideration. wink.gif

Any other brands for MKBs(with LED, and FULL LENGTH, not TKL) beside Ducky, CM Storm, Filco, Roccat, Corsair, Rosewill in Malaysia?
Budget is around RM 300-500(more or less doesn't matter).

Anyone on here can suggest? Thanks!

DECK Hassium
Tesoro
Logitech

But out of curiosity, why not choose from the brands you stated? tongue.gif

How I rock my Poker 2.
Flipped Fn and Alt keys, not yet on GuiFn, and Alt key is used for media player shortcut.
I concur!!

Only that I don't flip my ALT, only both FNs & spacebar. (Switched left WIN for FN)

Took me quite a while to get used without WIN as I'm always hitting WIN+R, WIN+L, WIN+D, WIN+P... sweat.gif

Question of the day:
Which manufactured keyboard (non-custom) is most expensive (please ignore those limited edition) ?

How about μTRON ? tongue.gif
