Right now I'm finding supplier willing is willing to make the plates for us. So far, I'm sending them the ergodox litster case as the test and see how much they wanna quote for that. If they're not too expensive, we can start thinking about making our own MKBs!

its a 2nd hand item and the buyer didn't provide any description for it. didn't saw anything about broken stem but someone did comment about missing stem to screw PCB

I've manage to get my case into production today, the total price was RM141.50 (1.5mm aluminium top, 1mm bottom, 3x3mm acrylic layer in the middle) at SC lasercut. If you find other company quotation quite high, try Sc Lasercut because seems like that the cheapest company I can find so far. But have to go there directly because they seems to be slow in replying email.

With materials, if you want all aluminium, its around 170+ i think

I'm planning to buy a keyboard mainly for typing purpose.

I type a lot but I don't game. I used to play with the IBM keyboard when I was young and missed that feeling.

So, I planned to buy from Unicomp, but the shipping is almost as expensive as the keyboard itself. Anyone has any idea where else I can get the keyboard, or just to minimize the shipping.

Or else, any other keyboard that can give off the same feeling? I'm not sure if switches and spring will give off the same feel.

The cut is good, because accordcing to matt3o, the cut tolerance might be different with different machine. Some of his case were a bit loose due to different laser cut vendor.

My complaint, really SC Laser Cut? Should have check on the spot instead of trusting you guys.

Overall, its ok, but would have expect a much better finishing. Guess cheap comes at a price. Maybe I'll send it for polish or powder coating or something.

Can't replace keycaps easily. You'll have a tough time scouring for keycaps that'll fit, look nice and have high quality.

I like using 55g on my alphanumerics and 62g on my mods. They're a joy to type on. I would have modded my TKL to ergo clears but I'm planning on giving it away once my lightsaver comes in, so....
