QUOTE(yukihatsu @ Jun 23 2014, 11:49 AM) Haha, yeah. I think they look bad with the default keycaps as well. But upon changing keycaps they're quite pretty. That hhkb3 layout is fugly with additional useless modifier keys, and completely ruin HHKB name if really got that version.Oh you're right. Would be cool if there's a HHKB3 with that layout though. What I like about HHKB is the original layout which is ergo and you will able to reach all the modifiers using touch typing. When add extra modifiers on the corner left and those right, it's very hard to reach with your fingers. The drawback of current HHKB2 was the 2 top right keys which is hardly reachable from right pinky fingers when your right index finger pressing on homing key. |

QUOTE(yukihatsu @ Jun 23 2014, 12:35 PM) Lol! The HHKB2 Japanese looks pretty much like the fake HHKB3 though... Can't reach FN too. But almost no press that FN, so doesn't matter. Can your pinky reach the FN button comfortably? I have a hard time trying to press the far end of the shift key with my pinky when my fingers are on the home row. |

QUOTE(maliwan @ Jun 25 2014, 04:50 PM) Zalman K-500 using FAKE/CLONE cherry switches (Kailh switch). Very high reliable issue, the stem of the switch easily broken.Razer also using the same kind of switch. So, avoid this brand or those brands with kailh. Or else, your future mkb don't last long. QUOTE(wildwestgoh @ Jun 26 2014, 08:50 AM) First time MKB? Take MX Brown (50g actuation), no-brainer switch, you'll like it better than your current one, MX Red however is much less actuation force however it may be too light if you used to the rubber dome, it's seriously light. MX Cherry Brown is only 45g(45cN) actuation force, 55g(55cN) peak force. As for your budget, it's a bit harder to get good build Full Layout, Filco 104 should be around RM469? Ducky can be cheaper but as you want the best build material, it's Filco to go, no LED no other shit, just pure switches and plate gooding, one hell darn heavy MKB to boot. MX Cherry Red also 45g actuation force without peak force, so, you will feel MX Red lighter. Filco Majestouch 2 104keys only cost RM399, where Ducky Shine 3 108keys is RM469. Filco is more cheaper than Ducky Shine. This post has been edited by quovadis123: Jun 26 2014, 11:07 AM |

QUOTE(DarkSilver @ Jun 26 2014, 12:37 PM) OK... Then, I should avoid it. I am disappointed, I really like the "looks" of it. CM Storm good keyboard is QuickFire Rapid which already end-of-life(EOL). Now replaced with QuickFire Stealth.Anyway, any good from CM Storm? CM Storm QuickFire XT-Stealth, http://gaming.coolermaster.com/en/products...rds/xt_stealth/ CM Storm QuickFire Ultimate, http://gaming.coolermaster.com/en/products...ckfireultimate/ These two have any big problem like the Corsair K70?? I would prefer LED MKBs(full length, not TK or without Numpad) that without fancy buttons everywhere... Any suggestions? Thanks! If you wish to get CM Storm, wait for QuickFire Rapid-i which is the new generation of this series. CM Storm QuickFire Rapid-i is more recommended, new keyboard. Get a TKL unless you got reason stay in full layout. This post has been edited by quovadis123: Jun 26 2014, 12:49 PM |

QUOTE(koonghx @ Jun 26 2014, 05:41 PM) Hi, There are few forummers here using HHKB Professional 2. Anything you want to ask about this HHKB ?Anyone here used HHKB before? I went to a MKB specialized shop to test out the different switches and KBs but in the end I find the TOPRE to be the nicest.. Red is too light and I will bottom it out and I couldn't feel whether the key is registered or not. Black is too heavy... Blue is in the middle for me, it is light but got the click. I like the sound but the feel of the click bothers me a lot as it made the keypress felt not smooth Brown seems to be the best feeling for me, but it doesn't have the click sound.. The shop doesn't have clear or green switches, so I couldn't check it out. I am interested in CODE keyboard with clear switches but I want to test it first before I buy it.. Most KBs have different prices although they have same layout and same switches, but may I know what are the differences? There were filcos, leopold, and ducky, and super expensive TOPRE keyboards... Another question is are there keycaps ( which kb?)that is printed on the frontside and don't have windows logo? <<Most KBs have different prices although they have same layout and same switches, but may I know what are the differences?>> Different build quality, different features, made in different countries. - Ducky Shine do have LED mode features, so, price will be higher than those non-LED Filco, Leopold. Ducky and Filco are made in Taiwan. You will noticed Ducky Zero is cheaper (made in China). - Topre keyboards like HHKB, Topre are made in Japan. Topre switch also made in Japan. <<Another question is are there keycaps ( which kb?)that is printed on the frontside and don't have windows logo?>> The font printed on the frontside is called sideprint. Keyboard like Filco Ninja do pre-installed with side print abs keycaps set. And you can purchase after-market sideprint keycaps set too. More choices from after-market keycaps. |
