Thankssssssssss for the help there for the hotkeys!

From I have read somewhere saying that Shine Zero is made in China so the build quality is not as good as the Shine 3 as it's made in Taiwan.

What about Filco VS Ducky in build quality?

Anyone has experience with both of the keyboards can commend on this?
Thanks for the info,
Like you said, just a rebranding of cheap switches to maximise profits I suppose. The only thing I would buy for razers is the mouse and the rubber mats. The rest of'em are just overpriced junks. Their keyboards are known to have flaws and bad build quality, though they're often rated TOP ONE in many sites. IMO, they are a bit like Beats in the headphone industry.
You got it, sir!
I just can't resist the clicky sound it's making.
I'll drop by heavy arm soon for a final testing before dropping the hammer.

Filco is the best quality.

Just ordered a 87U 55g Topre from EK when I never tried any mechanical keyboard(not even a Cherry Switch). I figured that I should choose the high end switch right away rather than Cherry first and then upgrading later. I hope I don't have to change to other keyboard later.
*
Topre switch is different from Cherry MX. Topre just higher end tactile switch. Rubber cup switch (Topre) master race notworthy.gif
If you original want a linear switch, MX Vintage Black is the high end.
If you want a clicky, no doubt, you will need to get MX Cherry blue/green.

The world in MX Cherry is more colorful than monotone Topre in terms of after-market keycaps selection.

Most of the keyboard users here also have same mindset as you in the beginning entering this mkb thread.
Because of curiosity want to try every different switches, at the end, you will getting a MX Cherry keyboard too.
So, your next keyboard still will back to Filco MJ2 or custom keyboards with MX Cherry.

Poker II is my end game keyboard already. No point going for super fancy stuff. At the end of the day I just want a nice-to-type keyboard that I can carry around with me everywhere I go.

Oh, maybe mod them into Cherry MX Clears before I really call it end game. tongue.gif
*
End game with MX Brown Filco TKL. icon_rolleyes.gif
Langsung no interest on MX Clear. nod.gif

See below:
Semi-agree with you. I'm retiring the Realforce (actually using it as office daily driver) because it has less options for bling bling and customization, but I really do like the feel of Topre switches. I really appreciate how I can really lay it on the Topre and still get that consistent feel in the keys that I will never experience with another keyboard.

However, I can't add LEDs, I can't make have Ergo Clears, I can't have jailhouse blues, and I can't have good keycaps.

So, in the end, I guess that is why I'm really keen on the Novatouch smile.gif
*
Not only that...
If you give Topre keyboard to friends do not know anything about mkb, they will treat Topre like normal membrane keyboard.
The feeling is alike. doh.gif
But for us, Topre is godly. (honest opinion)

isnt a topre same as a rubber dome keyboard buy with a spring???

i opened up my g105 and its capacitive
*
<<isnt a topre same as a rubber dome keyboard buy with a spring???>>
Correct. Physically, Topre is rubber dome with spring. So, the feeling of Topre is similar with membrane/rubber dome keyboard.
You can call Topre as premium rubber keyboard.

<<i opened up my g105 and its capacitive>>
Incorrect. Your G105 is only a rubber dome keyboard which keypress trigger by collapses the dome, which connects the two circuit traces and completes the connection to enter the character. So, your keypress must bottoming out to contact to complete the circuits.

For capacitive switch keyboard like Topre, you will not necessary to bottom the key to trigger the keypress.
user posted image
The Topre keyboard pcb is insulate with dielectric (from the formula: epsilon knot is dielectric constant). So, when the keypress against the pcb, the distance (from the formula: d is distance) decrease and the Capacitance will increases.
When the capacitance increase more than threshold capacitance value set by Topre switch, the keypress is triggered.

Conclusion, Rubber dome (G105) must direct contact to pcb to trigger keypress, whereas Topre do not need direct contact or bottoming to trigger keypress.

hello guys, any suggest for MKB that price less than rm300?
thanks in advance! if can please provide link too smile.gif

At that price range, I think is Rosewill or Ducky Zero.

I would recommend you Filco TKL (RM369). Hope you can top up to this price range.
Highly recommended this keyboard due to the superb quality (best) and good typing feel.

Hi All pro mechanical keyboard owner,

I am planning to get my first mechanical keyboard, currently I am interested in Ducky. Any other good choice and advises?

Thanks for everyone in advanced, I am new in mechanical keyboard, hope you all can share your experience ...have a nice day !!!

Good choices:-
Ducky Shine 3, Ducky Shine Zero, Filco Majestouch 2 TKL, CM Storm QuickFireRapid-i TKL.

Advice:-
Go try every kind of mechanical switches before you purchase.
See whether which switch you like.
Common switches: MX Blue (Clicky + Tactile), MX Brown (Tactile), MX Black (Linear), MX Red (Linear, lighter than MX Black)

Any reason why you regret? You don't like 60% keyboard ?
Or typing feel not as nice as your TKL?
