I never know why these pests love to linger around my 360. Once they have kaput my Altec. So, I never want these pests to destroy my 360. Do you guys have any idea. Racun and everything seems never stop them. The next thing is.. am going to clean up my room entirely.

Now my laptop is even getting those red ants all over. Everyday have to spray insect killer.

Perhaps this is a new breed of red ants in malaysia that likes to breed/move-around electronic stuffs.

Red ants? Weird. Call the exterminators. Make sure there's nothing around your room that may attract ants

Usually ants are attracted to sweet stuff or living things, right?

How can a laptop or a game console have any of that?

And i double-checked my laptop and it's super-clean. But the ants stil love it.

Mind you it's only a specific breed of red ants that does this.

Not those big red ants you see on trees outside or black ants.

These are small red ants (quite tiny) and they are really a pest to electronic stuffs.

Red-electronic-loving-ants outbreak. Maybe the electric/magnetic fields are attracting them. Do they crawl around with the devices on or off? Or both?

They are around even when the electronic stuff is on and off. At first, i thought it was the heat that attracted them. But at one moment, the ants infestation became even more when the electronic stuf was off. Really disgusting even to look at them. Uggh.

The good thing is, if there are people using the unit (like my laptop) all the time, they tend to go away. If they have planted some eggs with the queen around, they will move the eggs out too.
Talking about this even makes me feel disgusted.

sweet stuff eh. there's no sweet stuff around my 360. yeah. that tiny red ants. not those big ones. that tiny little stupid ants. real angry and weird. why not on my PS2 and Xbox. Only on my 360. hmmmm.

normal hardware shop also got.....around RM1 per stick of anti-ants chalk.

Seriously an old school method to lutr out red ants is get some raw meat, cover it in some liquid sugar.

When the ants come and have their meal you attack...

No quit laughing, this method maybe unorthodox but it worked...

hmmm. that method is quite dirty la kawan. meat ans sugar. hahaha. not a good combination. but then I agree it'll work but not just quite suitable for me.

My grandma told me, boil hot water then add chillies and onion. pour them on the place where you never want any ants. not on my xbox i say.
