Ok guys, how abt the loading times? Will the expansion address the long loading times i heard plague the orginal game?
I am leaning towards getting this game but if dying is gonna be a common situation which i have no problem with, something about challenging games that makes me feel alive i guess, but not a fan of long loadings.

Just got the game, so far these are the monsters that repeatedly kill me like there's no tomorrow:
1. The big guy with the black hood and two handed battle axe
2. The duo werewolves on top of a bridge
3. Father Gaggy (who else right??)

Gonna farm a little bit around yharnam before fighting him. By the way, i am not sure how those stats actually works but i upgrade it like this

Vit > Endu > Strength > Skill (if i have extra)

Starting weapons are blunder and battle axe, is it viable with above build? Thks

QUOTE(6so @ Dec 12 2015, 06:48 PM)
Strength is for heavy weapon/attacks while skill is for lighter weapon/attacks. Boils down to what weapon you like and spec your stats accordingly. Down the road you want to decide to go arcane (magic) or bloodtinge (firearm/increase damage at the expense of health). Don't go overboard on endurance as in the long run it just determine how much farther you can run and not exactly how much you can swing your attacks after a certain point of the game. Start putting points on arcane or bloodtinge so you don't grind too much for the sake of using a new weapon you found.
*
Ok thks, is there a max amount or soft/ hard cap for these stats? How much is enough before the gains are not much with each subsequent level? I noticed that if i level just the vit stats, the required blood echoes for other stats increase as well. So, should i collect more blood enchoes and level everything in one go?

@LordReaper
Mine is the digital version Bloodborne Old Hunter edition and it comes with main game and the DLC, it should work for physical as well.

1. You can avoid the big fella - Executioner. He might be a little tough for you in the beginning. It's absolutely OK not to kill him (for the time being).

2. As for the two Scourge Beasts, try to lure them one at a time. It makes thing easier that way. Learn the art of parry/dodge.

3. I mentioned my way of defeating Father Gascoigne in my earlier postings. Try and use the environment to your advantage (tombstones). Extend your Hunter Axe to whack a few whacks. Stay calm and try not to....

You don't have to worry about your stats at this point. You can add a little on attributes such as Endurance and Vitality. As I read your postings, you wield a Hunter Axe (one of the starting Trick Weapons).  laugh.gif Strength is the way to take note. As for your offhand weapon, which is the Hunter Blunderbuss, Bloodtinge is your note to be taken. I wouldn't focus much on the latter though at this early stage.
*
1. Well, i got a habit of going after lone single enemies lol. Man, he sure made me eat my own cake that fella.
2. Yep, lure them into the house nearby, cheap i know, but at the moment i will make use of any given environment to my advantage
3. Yep, will do..was roaming around decided to try out the cleric beast..OWNED

Thanks for the info!

@6so, thanks man biggrin.gif

Speaking about endurance, how much is enough btw? I am currently rolling with the godhammer and it seems enough at stats 11. I am focusing at pumping the vit and strength first, would abt 25 for endurance be ok?

Holy crap, what's with this eileen quest 2nd npc hunter (not henryk)?? Got owned left and right it feels like no means to defeat him? I don't wanna cheese him yet...but he is by far the toughest hunter specifically. Did some farming and he still got me with 2 or 3 hits..haizz

If you are good with riposte you can get him when he attacks you frontal or time your charge attack/jump attack when he walk slowly toward you. Do the fight at the staircase to limit his move sets but also gonna limit yours at the same time. It's easier to bait him to come towards you over there. Augur of Ebrietas also effective to land visceral attack since now only cost 1 quicksilver.

Thks, gonna give it another go.

Finally defeated Mpresence, currently enjoying new game plus with all those new weapons. After countless button mashing, curse words unleashed and lots of dying, i gonna say..bloodborne would be my GOTY if not witcher 3. I am not always a fan of difficult games, but i am definitely more open towards it now thanks in part to bloodborne.

So, a recap of who is to me the hardest boss etc etc
Hardest boss: Kos
Fav weapon: Rakuyo, BOM, Lugwig blade, MLGS, burial blade and hunter axe
Fav boss: Maria

@joey, yea i noticed that too.

@6so, MLGS is AWESOME, the L2 attack is quite devastating.

laugh.gif Let's test his level of skills and patience. I think should be OK since he defeated some of the tough ones before.

shadowrem Time to show us your skills in Bloodborne.

I'll say 9 deaths on the generous side of me.  laugh.gif
*
Yep 9 deaths is very generous of you lol, i died more times than that fighting logarious, i was also trying out and see which weapon works best on him and turns out BOM is kinda effective against him. Personally, I would say in terms of difficulty, Ook gave me the most problem. I got confident having beaten a bunch of tough bosses, went in there and he owned my ass till i lost count. His second form is a nightmare...i also thought vicar laurence is the last boss of the DLC, in the end he is just an optional boss lol.

I gonna challenge Ook again in new game plus hehe.

Also, is it me or shadows of yharnam got a nice bump in diffculty for new game plus? Got through the first 4 bosses without issue but these guys...damn....

the difficulty setting is hard -> harder -> even harder -> even even harder -> infinity. Anyway once you get stronger, its not that hard. Perseverance is key

Kinda nice seeing this game picked by new players, i have been preaching the hell of this game to my frens of it's awesomeness (Ok enough of fanboyism)

Ok, logarious is freaking tough in new game plus, quite nice that the diificulty bump is still always there to keep you on your toes.

@Enilyks34,
From what i heard, nope..there wont be anymore cuz they gonna focus on Dark souls 3, that was couple of months back. I would like to see more as well.

@ExCrIpT
Just ignore that dude, he is been put there in one corner for a reason lol. I farm him a little bit from bloodgems and vials though ocassionally.

i like the idea that now DS3 will be more fast paced. Hopefully it will be as fast BB. This game makes your hand shake after almost every boss fight!

There is no cheat.

There are only 2 ways:

1) Git' gud.
2) Don't die.
*
Lol, i have seen item no.1 in reddit so many times it kinda gets ingrained into your mind, but i totally agree, the only requirement for item 1 is to die a lot. As for Joey's screenshot, judging from her previous post, she probably played countless of times. Can i assume she is beyond new game plus +7? rclxms.gif

@romalis51,
Don't wanna spoil too much for ya, but there's items and farming spots that helps you to get more echoes smile.gif

I think Bloodborne 2 is pretty much a given considering how successful it has been. That and Shu is a big fan of FS makes it a very much open secret that BB2 will be worked on after DS3. Heck, we might even get DeS2.

Yeah dual wielding was one thing I dearly missed too. But given the design of BB's weapons, there wasn't an easy balance to it.
*
I do enjoy the new weapons lineup of the DLC though specifically simon's bowblade. The bow opens up some form of new long distance damaging and also i more of fan of bows than guns tbh. Pumped some bloodtinge stats and damage will start piling up.

QUOTE(6so @ Jan 5 2016, 10:44 AM)
It's not that impossible...when you farm for the best possible gems in the dungeons. Speed running a dungeon can get 1 million or 3 million if you annihilate everything you see (300k+- per boss you take down) and that mergo middle loft can give you 800k++ if you do parry, back stab and visceral on all the enemies that allow you to do so. Provided you have the best runes equipped and the OP gems you use can rekt bosses less than 2 minutes. PVP and Co-op also good way to farm echoes while waiting for bell to resonate successfully. You'll be able to loot tons of depth 5 ritual materials that you can sell for 10k per pop. Those ritual materials only good for one time use.
To me the true challenge of bloodborne is in level 4 run, the old hunters area is deeply unforgiving. You need perfect play to take down the bosses. Finish all the bosses except Laurence because of his ridiculous health pool like Gehrman.
*
Yep, i know it's possible my character is at lv 212 currently, long way off the mark but yea...my appreciation goes towards her dedication to squeeze every ounce of the game, not that's there anything wrong with that btw biggrin.gif

Guys I learn from utube that we can kill a dude that on the roof that give free hat, and can get Blade of Mercy in early game. Can this strategy can still be used? Or they fix it already?
*
You talking abt eileen the crow? Since you mentioned BOM, yes you can. However, not recommended. After you cheese her and get her badge, you will still need 40k of echoes before able to purchase the blade. Unless you enjoy farming so much in early game, i suggest you just do her questline.
