Strength is for heavy weapon/attacks while skill is for lighter weapon/attacks. Boils down to what weapon you like and spec your stats accordingly. Down the road you want to decide to go arcane (magic) or bloodtinge (firearm/increase damage at the expense of health). Don't go overboard on endurance as in the long run it just determine how much farther you can run and not exactly how much you can swing your attacks after a certain point of the game. Start putting points on arcane or bloodtinge so you don't grind too much for the sake of using a new weapon you found.

1. You can avoid the big fella - Executioner. He might be a little tough for you in the beginning. It's absolutely OK not to kill him (for the time being).

2. As for the two Scourge Beasts, try to lure them one at a time. It makes thing easier that way. Learn the art of parry/dodge.

3. I mentioned my way of defeating Father Gascoigne in my earlier postings. Try and use the environment to your advantage (tombstones). Extend your Hunter Axe to whack a few whacks. Stay calm and try not to....



You don't have to worry about your stats at this point. You can add a little on attributes such as Endurance and Vitality. As I read your postings, you wield a Hunter Axe (one of the starting Trick Weapons).  Strength is the way to take note. As for your offhand weapon, which is the Hunter Blunderbuss, Bloodtinge is your note to be taken. I wouldn't focus much on the latter though at this early stage.

If you are good with riposte you can get him when he attacks you frontal or time your charge attack/jump attack when he walk slowly toward you. Do the fight at the staircase to limit his move sets but also gonna limit yours at the same time. It's easier to bait him to come towards you over there. Augur of Ebrietas also effective to land visceral attack since now only cost 1 quicksilver.

Let's test his level of skills and patience. I think should be OK since he defeated some of the tough ones before.

the difficulty setting is hard -> harder -> even harder -> even even harder -> infinity. Anyway once you get stronger, its not that hard. Perseverance is key

There is no cheat.

There are only 2 ways:

1) Git' gud.
2) Don't die.

I think Bloodborne 2 is pretty much a given considering how successful it has been. That and Shu is a big fan of FS makes it a very much open secret that BB2 will be worked on after DS3. Heck, we might even get DeS2.

Yeah dual wielding was one thing I dearly missed too. But given the design of BB's weapons, there wasn't an easy balance to it.

It's not that impossible...when you farm for the best possible gems in the dungeons. Speed running a dungeon can get 1 million or 3 million if you annihilate everything you see (300k+- per boss you take down) and that mergo middle loft can give you 800k++ if you do parry, back stab and visceral on all the enemies that allow you to do so. Provided you have the best runes equipped and the OP gems you use can rekt bosses less than 2 minutes. PVP and Co-op also good way to farm echoes while waiting for bell to resonate successfully. You'll be able to loot tons of depth 5 ritual materials that you can sell for 10k per pop. Those ritual materials only good for one time use.
To me the true challenge of bloodborne is in level 4 run, the old hunters area is deeply unforgiving. You need perfect play to take down the bosses. Finish all the bosses except Laurence because of his ridiculous health pool like Gehrman.

Guys I learn from utube that we can kill a dude that on the roof that give free hat, and can get Blade of Mercy in early game. Can this strategy can still be used? Or they fix it already?
