 Camera Battery - Explosion, generic battery

Hi im now using Canon S120,
and i bought a generic battery NB-6L online from Shaxxxxki,
i tried to tore up the paper mount on the battery and here's the issues,

Front view of the battery

Front view after tore (they're connected at the top)

Back view after tore (they aren't connected at the top just covered by the sticker and you can see what happened inside)

My camera will getting heat after 20mins straight for taking video,
so I'm worry about the safety issue, should i still use this?
does it safe or it's going to explode? shocking.gif icon_question.gif

lol, heat up is not the main issue,
i mean in that case does it still safe especially due to the condition(according to the pic) of my generic battery.

I search google for NB-6L replacement battery and i got this one from google's ads,

Anyone bought from them before? Does it reliable?

if in doubt - junk it.. if it looks like leaking - junk it.. and if it is out of shape - junk it.. better be safe than sorry..

Explosion is the wrong word to use.. LiPo will catch fire but not explode! That is holywood stunt!

A few pointers when using lithium ion batteries, 3rd parties or not.
1. Never let it go down to zero charge. Batteries tend to get unstable.
2. Don't store under direct sunlight where temp may get too hot
3. Don't store at near zero charge in your device for long
