played around with my unit... very pleased with it... but then again turning on 3G really drains the battery... and when multitask with music player and camera, it will lag a little as the photo being saved... is it?

k618i can support mp4 format as well.... for easy mp4 conversion just use NERO RECODE.. adjust bitrate to <400 for smooth playback
noticed something with the camera, i CANT zoom when using normal mode... anyone else with the same prob or it's just me ? |

try from main menu, then go into camera mode, then try zooming before taking the photo....... i'll just get a prompt saying "Zooming is not possible in this mode"... however it works fine when switched to panaroma, frames, or even burst mode... just normal mode seems to have this problem

maxis does have 2.5G (EDGE).. it just that k618 doesnt have it.. so it fallback to 2G if the 3G signal is absent

QUOTE(kshereen @ Jul 11 2007, 08:07 PM) Hi! been using K618i since nov last year and nvr faced any problem as you mentioned. however mine is flashed to the latest firmware whenever possible through SEUS. hope it helps Just thought this would be helpful to all K618i users. I got the phone since Feb this year. Everything is nice and fine until one day the calls don't get registered in the call list anymore. Sent it back due to software problem. 3 months later same problem occured. What I did to solve the problem this time is just do a master reset and it's normal again. Anyone faced this problem before? I hope it's not my hardware problem but if it is someone better tell me so that I can send it back for warranty. And also hope that it won't happen again cos resetting the phone and setting back all my configs is a pain in the @ss. Other than that, the phone is great. |

QUOTE(soitsuagain @ Jul 29 2007, 10:11 AM) There are no more sms limit for newer SE phones. wrong... limit for this K618i will be 1000 sms. you'll get a warning when you reach 95% of the max. However, there's a hack to allow "unlimited" sms storing in SE phones. however, imagine the pain in finding one sms in a thousand.....The limit will be the size of your available phone memory. |

there's no way to add AF to it as the camera module in K618i does not support AF
