Long time Franco kernel user, but with 4.4.4 I gonna try ElementalX since Franco kernel seems to be problematic, phone runs hot when browsing even after done some heavy undervolting and underclocking.

Just now I finished updating to 4.4.3 and my phone asked me to reboot, which I did but after the phone restarted, it went into TWRP. Then I totally did not know what to do, I clicked reboot and the phone rebooted like normal. I checked the version and it's still 4.4.2. I clicked for system updates for the OTA but it says I have the latest update. Any help? icon_question.gif

Download the flashable ZIP (100% stock if you want, but the lean one is good too) here. Follow instruction there, you can dirty flash (no wiping anything). It should work

i'm not that excited abt QHD screens, they don't seem to do so well looking from G3 reviews, low brightness, high heat, suck battery...
*

This screen resolution race on phones is ridiculous. It needs to stop right now. Even 720p is more enough for the screen size. This huge resolution just eats batteries, and used up GPU and RAM to render things on it.

720P is enough up to 4.7", 1080P is enough up to 6" IMO
Resolution spec doesnt bother me too much, as long contents can keep up. With very limited resources support more than 1080P resolution, QHD is still gimmicky at the moment.

It's not the resolution is the problem, it's the battery life. If it didn't affect battery life then put any resolution they wanted

Started using my PS Vita charger to charge my Nexus. charging is noticably alot faster. but would it hurt my device? No right?
*

Faster charging equals hotter batteries during charging. Just don't use your phone during charging or it might stress your batteries shorting its lifespan

yes, But Very Few Programs Take up 2GHz. Mostly, Programs only use around 1Ghz.
*
This is true, this isnt a PC where programs needs all the processing power. If you have program that monitor CPU state time you will see it rarely use high clock, at most it will hover at 1.4-1.5GHz because of input_boost_freq. Underclock and undervolt is the best way to get the most out of battery life.

Most of us just browsing, watching videos, listening to music and using messenger/email app that dont use much power in the first place. Unless its gaming or other intensive app then you need the processing power. Otherwise underclock and undervolt all the way.

Actually even if it's overpriced, there is one good side of iphone. The resale value.

An iphone, 2 years later, you could sell it at the price of half it's original price. An android, you might even face problem trying to sell it at half price even 1 year later. not to mention 2 years later, nobody wants your android phone anymore.

I guess that's the only thing i'm impressed about apple. Also the attitude of certain extreme apple loyal supporters. never fail to amuse me .  tongue.gif

If you buy a phone for its resale value you gonna have a bad time.
