Splatoon, due out in the first half of 2015, players take charge of a inkgun-armed cartoon child that can turn into a squid. The four-on-four multiplayer game has players fighting not to take out the opposing team, but to coat as much of the map as possible with their color ink. The colorful concept doesn't just make the shooter more kid friendly, it also delivers a slew of interesting concepts to an aging genre. With a push of the button you can morph into a squid, swimming quickly through your team's ink along the ground and walls. Swimming in the ink doesn't just vastly increase your speed, it also refills your ink tank. If you hit the opposing team's ink you won't be able to proceed. Even walking through the enemy's ink can be problematic, it's like walking through molasses.

If enough people are going to get it, I plan to get this game when it is released. Looks fun.. But need to know more details and what other modes or other stuff is available to play.

the more the merrier. hopefully the LYN community decides to get this game.
Splatoon confirms character customization, weapon customization, solo modes, offline and online gameplay, harder map modes in development, full sized retail game is their goal, basic chat features through voice chat unlikely.
The toxicity of voice chat in multiplayer like CoD and BF.. No one will miss that. It's the right thing not to allow in this game.
What tway to ruin a fun game buy hearing some stupid kid swear in a game like a baby. I'd mute everyone as well, just like any other shooter games.
exactly, i don't want 12yo having interest in my mom to ruin my gaming experience i duno why they judge the game badly just because of the lack of voice chat
inb4 we need communication to plan strategy blablabla

I read at reddit and a few news blog's comment, for the most part, I think everyone is fine with not having one.

i guess majority of those people are sony/microsoft fanboys who just bash nintendo with lame excuses (eg. no graphics no 3rd party games), or CoD/BF/GTAOnline players
if you don't mind not having voice chat for multiplayer, go ahead and get it
My concern is not the VC, is always the price tag and eventually the crowd/player here who want to buy and play. Just like mk8 i was late for the party for a year now only racing with random player.
Talking about rm210 pricetag. Pfftt.... WiiU game wai jiu so ekspensif?
