GeForce 7900 GS to hit the retail market?

It reportedly runs at 450MHz with 20 pixel shader processors, seven vertex shader processors, and 256MB of memory clocked at 660MHz. In short, the card runs at the same speeds as the GeForce 7900 GT, but it shaves off four pixel shaders and one vertex shader.
Pricing on the GeForce 7900 GS will supposedly reach almost a hundred bucks below the GeForce 7900 GT to the $179-199 range, which could make the GS a very appealing mainstream card. NVIDIA reportedly plans to cut the GeForce 7600 GT to $130 to accommodate the new retail introduction, too.

why? those problematic 7900gt... reduce the pipe and relabel 7900gs?

For someone like me you have a P4 1.8/256MB DDR ram/64MB mx4000 and only play RTS games like AOM/warcraft & Pirates.Is it an item that I need to buy?If not what do I need.My mobo is jetway P4FXCU.

It already available in Dell Dimension 9150. You just need RM645 to upgrade 7300LE to 7900GS.

allopz...seem i have a little trouble here...i used 7900gs agp...but my comp always got hang and stuck everytime i play games (even warcraft)...i already install the latest driver but it still hang...what else can i do? is my GC condemed already ah? i just bought it for 2 weeks...so saddd....

speed//funny for you to have this problem..seems many looking at the 7900gs and you report problems...your m/b is ok ?? maybe conflict somewhere or gc need rma?
