But this hill is much steeper than Genting . I tot Proton would answer like this " We will change your engine to a turbocharged CFE unit with 205NM of torque to enable you to climb the hill easier " thumbup.gif

This year Chinese New Year I drove my Inspira MT there too. Before I went there, I tightened my handbrake to 1 click to full stop at 10% gradient hill. I went Thean Hou Temple, traffic was very jammed already, I saw an old KE70 Corolla roll back like shit. The driver tried so many times to move forward but not successful.. Damn scary...Lucky I not behind him. doh.gif

After I got stucked at the hill , I pull handbrake. 1 click. I release brake pedal slowly, still roll back man...Pull harder, 1 more click, still roll. 3rd click only stopped completely. doh.gif Do multiple times only can reach the parking lot.

That place, got some soh xxi young drivers still follow close anyhow despite how steep the hill is.

hi, planning to get a inspira and mod to evo x.
can anyone help to guide on the cost to mod;
- front bumper
- rear spoiler
- front bonnet
- Fly audio + reverse cam
- steering
- front light switch

if i miss out anything feel free to share as well
*
Depends on how you wanna do it .

Non-ori ABS EVO X spoiler alone is around RM650 with paint.

For bodykit, there are 2 routes that you can take. Evo X fender is different from Lancer/Inspira. Wider abit, so original Evo X front bumper wont fit the Inspira unless you change the fender as well.

Option 2 is to use a customized non-ori Evo X bumper which fits the Inspira/Lancer fender. This thing can be easily found.

Evo bumper also got many types. Got FQ400 , got V1, V2 , V3 for different revisions.

Front bumper no idea. But Front , Rear bumper + side skirting+ Mitsu badge + spoiler+ paint+ misc around RM4k can get if I not mistaken. Maybe abit more coz the fog lamp also have to change. Evo X one is different .

Audio and reverse cam no idea.

The Evo X steering abit difficult to get. Last I saw was RM2k include the Audio control button and cruise control without the airbag.

What you mean by front light switch ??? I don't get it.

Hi thanks for the useful info.
Any suggestion which shop around kl that I can get it done?
Maybe steering I heard there is a cheaper option of just changing the horn panel, any idea how much?
Front light switch i mean the headlamp level switch.

There are many shops that does this conversion. You go mudah.myalso can find so many...I am no salesman here..So wont recommend particular 1 shop.

Airbag cover is it?? You can only do like Lancer steering only. Around ~RM200 I think.

Evo steering is totally different from Lancer steering.

Headlamp levelling switch must also see u got the provided wire or not.. Inspira with serial number below 14k will have.. Above that wiring no more.

bro,if u get evo x spoiler cheaper abit please share..cause im oso looking for evo x spoiler w/ paint..found out a shop in semenyih with 1 yr wrnty on paint but dunno wht material n dunno if scam or for real..the spoiler is rm350 hmm.gif
*
Maybe nowadays the spoiler is cheaper due to mass production. But then, do not ever take fibre ones. They crack very easily. Especially if u always go ah neh car wash, they close your boot by holding your spoiler and slam rear bonet to close. In the market these days, there are 2 types of replica Evo X spoiler, 1 type comes with 3 pieces total, another type is 1 piece... Actually the 3 pieces one are better.

If they tell you is PU ones also is either fake or they wanna cheat you. IF ducktail spoiler like the R3 ones or 2.0P OEM ones, then can use PU coz the whole thing is sticking to the car body. LGT and Evo ones with 2 stands holding a bar cannot use PU. Under hot sun, after sometime the spoiler can become "U" shape.

Ok , tell u first. If you wanna install LGT spoiler, each side of the bonet must drill 2 holes , if Evo X one, 3 holes per side.

If you going for LGT one, go find the 2nd hand LGT original ones, those are the best quality ones. Around RM300+ only

I just checked Evo X body kit at Brothers accessories shop, person there told me fiber better than pu rclxub.gif
Btw,how I do check my serial no to know whether it is below 14k?
*
Fiber is the cheapest of the cheap material for bodykit... So you roughly know wat will be the quality like...

Serial number see your windscreen or see your car geran.

car geran got something like:

no casis: PL1CY4Axxxxxxxxxx .... U only see the last 5 digits.

fuhh thnks for the info bro..i also got to know that pu n fiber always not that good one..there 1 LYN member said he changed his lgt spoiler once every 10mnths to 1 year i think coz always crack.
im oso searching for the evo x spoiler the 3 pieces ones cause its much stronger..
but if i chnge my mind for lgt spoiler, i got 1 shop selling it ori for 300 but paint and fitting plus another 200..
most of the spoilers n kits nowadays r abs so i myb its good la but have to see it to believe it..thks for the head up bro thumbup.gif
*
Not PU not good. Its just tat not suitable for our spoiler use. PU is good to make skirting since not so rigid. Not easy to crack. Body repair shops just heat up the dent area and push outwards only.

Bodykits better opt for PU or PP. LGT and Evo spoiler choose ABS .

Ori spoiler LGT is around tht price. But fitting abit expensive though. I'm expecting around RM150 only with paint.

mudah evo x spoiler

this shop i think maybe not..but try looking at Rainbow Kl in fb,he is selling alot of things for lgt n inspira

Owner of Rainbow KL is Robert. One of the Mitsubishi stockist. His stuffs are not cheap , bear in mind. His 2 kiddo workers are not up to par actually, in terms of workmanship.

You might want to compare price with RainbowCen Ojan ( u can dig from FB) first as a wise consumer.

I am not promoting anyone but I was previous customer of Rainbow KL.

Your LGT spoiler is cheap... Seriously. I did for RM300 including paint and installation last year.
So how much he charge you for bodykit ?? Front , rear, side skirt all for RM900 ?

Kenny thank you for the guide on how to remove door panel. I went to install double din player + my component set + woofer. Component set+woofer taken out from my old car. The accessory shop guy say my front driver speaker spoil already, no sound... shocking.gif I don't believe him.. So...

I read your guide on how to take out the door panel and troubleshoot myself. Just the speaker contact pin rusted due to 1 year keeping in room with moisture I think. Abit of WD-40 spray cleaned the rusted contact pins and my speaker is working again.

Today quite disappoint at the SC at PJ section 13 (jaya one there).
The Knocking problem i mentioned before, they said its just minor pinging and told me to go empty my fuel tank of RON95 and use Ron97 for a while. They suspect there is carbon in my fuel tank, and want me to flush it out by using different RON fuel.

And if the pinging goes away, they suggest i keep using Ron97. (wtf??)

OKAY, i will follow their suggestion.

In other news, they said they dont have record of my Gear oil change (im using MT-90), so they cant check my gearbox problem until i change my gear oil. Ok fine, i said go ahead with changing it. I mentioned to make sure it is the correct gear oil for Proton inspira.
Then the technician was about to put in a cheap looking 75-90W Petronas brand oil. i found it strange that it was not the OEM Diaqueen. So i asked them not to change.

Anyone experienced the Proton SC using the wrong oil?
Or are they now all using local brand stuff..
*
Normally the give you the Elf Tranself TRJ 75W-80 oil.. which is the same as the one used for Savvy.
Our gearbox is ancient I think, still use GL3 grade oil. Others already move to GL4 ~GL5. I don't dare to pour in other gear oil scare screw up the syncro . Tht yellow metal very sensitive.

Frm wat I noe, Lancer use KYB gas type shocks. Inspira is oil type APM shocks. Dunno how will end up if mix and match inspira spring with Lancer shocks. Ride height will be different I supposed at least.

Hello everyone, I planning to install a new head unit for my inspira, but I know nothing about this thing, I'm interested with this model Kenwood, my question is, will this unit will be perfectly fitted the panel and can it be used with controller at steering wheel? Sorry for my noob questions.

I don't have a Kenwood HU, but I am using a Pioneer double din. Bottom of the player has around 2mm gap
