Hey guys, i have some questions for my inspira 1.8 mt.
How do you make the car more stable (less floaty) when going high speed? And why is the 2nd gear not that power and at some point i need to change it to 1st gear? how can i fix it? Does changing the rim to 18 inch make it more stable? or should i just cut the spring and lower the car?
previously we owned a waja 1.6 mt, the car is much more stable and lower and we rarely use the 1st gear unless the car completely stops at the traffic light.
Don't cut the spring. Save money and get a proper sport spring. R3 lowered spring around RM500+ after discount is not so bad if budget constraint. Rim don't have to get 18inch, you will only lose power and increase fc if you don't get a proper light weight rim which is mighty expensive. 18inch tyre you are looking at minimum RM400+ for each tyre.
The 2nd gear problem is normal . 1st gear and 2nd gear ratio too far apart. That one you cannot do anything about it. Just have to match your driving pattern with the gearbox shortcomings. So 1st gear if got bump and uphill. No choice.
We're not the only one having this prob. Even new Sylphy I tested also like that, after an uphill bump, wanna accelerate again, like no power. This is a CVT man...
