Which model bro? Paired with stock inspira HU panel?
*
Using AVH-X4650. Yea. paired with stock HU panel. The steering control buttons works perfectly. U can even define which button do what on yourself. No need add additional module for steering control

Hi, l just had my car service outside after warranty period. Anyone knows how to change the service interval at MID screen? rclxub.gif
*
1. Turn key to Accesories (ACC) with doors shut
2. Press Info button till you reach the service counter with the spanner lit next to it.
3. Hold info button down and it will say CLEAR. Press Info button again.

any difference with that and MUT?

and where does the car get it's dates from?
*
I have no idea what is the difference. End of July, I sent my car to COSE for 20k km service, they reset via MUT to 30k counter but forgot to reset the date, so after I just serviced, I was shocked that they din reset for "month" part. So I did myself this method and it works for me.

How it gets the date ?? Each time you do, it will +10k km and 6 months I believe. So only can do once at a time.

But there is 1 thing that you must have MUT to do, it is the "CVT oil degradation level ". That one mati mati also must use MUT tool. That's 1 of the reason why I bought manual in the first place. I don't want to be too reliant on this tool.

ya..size almost same, plating and chemical diff. my old wira ns70 cn last 4 years..so to b safe use back the original battery.

one more question, if battery kong dy.. can jump start and drive to nearby battery shop to change or buy a new 1 change myself without start the car?
*
I think jump start better. At least the ECU don't have to relearn everything. Besides that, your radio channels are intact.

Wanna ask 1.8MT owners.

My road tax almost expire already. Now wanna renew the road tax and insurance.

The question is:

1. How much premium you all insured after your car age 1 year ?

I searched around, but I found is only RM55k . So wanna ask you guys opinion and experience.

Go back to engine oil.. Now Tesco got offer.

Castrol Edge 4L 5w-40 - RM139

Shell Helix Ultra 4L 5w-40 - RM139

Tried Castrol. Slightly better than Shell. The engine idling more quiet.

Cheap solution for:
Car floaty: put more dumbell and secure it in the car when u in highspeed, then put a glass of water in the front center cupholder to determine car stability.

Guideline using 2nd gear: no matter yr car stop or not, floor the accelerate pedal by holding yr clutch, then rev until max and release the clutch, this will bring up the full potential power of each gear.

*masuk $ to yr pocket, no need thank me.
*
Your 2nd gear solution not cheap la.. If you rev till max and release clutch at gear 2, sure wheelspin.. Tyre wear out much faster.

Hey guys, i have some questions for my inspira 1.8 mt.
How do you make the car more stable (less floaty) when going high speed? And why is the 2nd gear not that power and at some point i need to change it to 1st gear? how can i fix it? Does changing the rim to 18 inch make it more stable? or should i just cut the spring and lower the car?

previously we owned a waja 1.6 mt, the car is much more stable and lower and we rarely use the 1st gear unless the car completely stops at the traffic light.
*
Don't cut the spring. Save money and get a proper sport spring. R3 lowered spring around RM500+ after discount is not so bad if budget constraint. Rim don't have to get 18inch, you will only lose power and increase fc if you don't get a proper light weight rim which is mighty expensive. 18inch tyre you are looking at minimum RM400+ for each tyre.

The 2nd gear problem is normal . 1st gear and 2nd gear ratio too far apart. That one you cannot do anything about it. Just have to match your driving pattern with the gearbox shortcomings. So 1st gear if got bump and uphill. No choice.

We're not the only one having this prob. Even new Sylphy I tested also like that, after an uphill bump, wanna accelerate again, like no power. This is a CVT man...

Hahaha, thanks bro
Still figuring out how to navigate the damn touchscreen HU  sweat.gif  so far i'm feeling that non-touchscreen is better
Prob not tonight ler, month closing gonna be busy

Urs is 2.0P ?? I saw u selling your old City. I drove the same car like yours but I sold off last year. Before remap, I feel the old City 0-100km/h is even faster than this Inspira. Welcome to the club :-D

Yup yup 2.0P

Yeah it does feel faster, at least in the earlier parts (0-60 maybe)
I'm not sure if its actually faster or just the feel
City was a lot noisier (revving sound) and very low close to the ground. Might be those factors affecting the "feel" haha
*
Old City 1st and 2nd gear very fast because it has an old school SOHC VTEC engine. 3rd gear become like snail. oh well, typical old skul 4 speed auto only.

I tested the CVT version inspira and I cannot accept the CVT feel, so I opt for manual laugh.gif

Btw I bought inspira because our old City is the last batch with rear independent suspension. I don't want something with a rear torsion beam shakehead.gif

First impression when I got the Inspira, I feel wtf man, its so damn quiet. But inspira body roll is a problem to me rclxub.gif .

Yippie collecting my car later hehe.. Add me into the list!!!

First mod door visor, to have air circulate out especially at open carpark
*
Door visor has cons too. Be aware of it. If you go above 100km/h or more, door visor may induce wind noise.

Of coz no need take out the entire headlight assembly. So " dig and replace" I guess , following your term.

Actually mine is the non-VTEC one haha
Yeah first 2 gears feel very strong, but after that tak boleh already
I guess the lightness is the main thing, if you have 4 passengers and drive uphill...the difference is really huge

So far i'm very satisfied with the Inspira, best car I've driven yet  thumbup.gif
*
So done remap for your Inspira ??? I did it the 2nd day I got my car. Drove all the way from Sg Buloh to Bkt Jalil find bangla laugh.gif The auto lock I did it much later.

probably clutch pump, many cases happened. send to check earlier while still able too drive, else need to call for tow truck d.  smile.gif
*
This clutch pump replacement thingie will take how long?? Must leave the car at SC for days?? I think mine also have some symptom already. Sometimes gear change got crunch sound even when clutch depressed fully.

This happens especially, situation like this : From gear 4 , full clutch, go gear 3, release half clutch to slow down the car, clutch in full again to go gear 2, then the crunch will happen.

clutch stressed and synchros grinding.

- don't half clutch to engine brake
- rev match better
- gear oil

either 1 or all of the above.
*
Gear oil I already changed at SC at 10k km service. I ask them to change for me coz that time, during traffic jam, gear 1 hard to engage.

Maybe I can try not to half clutch to do engine braking.
