New model, new design n now come with catamaran roof design. QUOTE(MtV @ Aug 19 2014, 07:30 AM) Don't listen to these guys trolling lar....what TRD from Nissan....you visit here more often you will go crazy....Just go to a few Proton Showroom and ask a few SA for best discount...i would advise you not buy from Mutiara Damansara branch or go service there. If in PJ, can try this branch near Taman Mayang...facing LDP. Next door Mazda showroom, delivered my car in 1 week last time.....including loan approval and everything. I have 2 Inspiras in the family....one my sis-in-law and one mine, both bought around same time. All gooding. This post has been edited by Matrix: Aug 19 2014, 09:18 AM |

QUOTE(Quazacolt @ Aug 18 2014, 01:22 PM) yea pretty much, cuz from my last UOA report, there's quite high amount of metal particulates/shaving. Just remember that a magnet generally only works on metals like nickel, iron and cobalt. So depending on the metal you want to remove, a magnet might not work.my goal is to reduce it to under 10 ppm of metal particulates/shaving Iron is typically high when an engine is new generally due to the piston rings seating in a wearing it. You shouldn't see much after 20000km if you break the car in hard and thus aluminium and manganese should go down (Alu is the block material, manganese is an alloying material) Copper is likely from the bronze alloy valve guides. |

So depending on the metal you want to remove, a magnet might not work. ah i see... my iron ppm was the highest at 44ppm, so magnet would help in that regard at least.Iron is typically high when an engine is new generally due to the piston rings seating in a wearing it. You shouldn't see much after 20000km if you break the car in hard and thus aluminium and manganese should go down (Alu is the block material, manganese is an alloying material) Copper is likely from the bronze alloy valve guides. from what the lab guys answered on my inquiry manganese is typically found on fuel additives. Either way they won't be a concern since the value isn't alarming high anyways. and could be as you said - alloying material. btw i won the lucky draw for motul 300v 4l lol contest organized from Motul Singapore/Malaysia during May, went to Motul Malaysia hq (high N lubricant is the sole distro) to receive it and took pictures |
