Maintenance will take place on Feb 8th from 4am until 8am EST which will impact our online features and services. During this time players may experience disconnection from the multiplayer portions of their games and from Uplay PC and the inability to reconnect to them or to other online features, services, forums and websites. (Single player and offline play should still be available).
We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding as we work to improve our infrastructure and ensure the best possible experience for players.
The scheduled maintenance started around 5pm GMT+8 till 9pm GMT+8. We probably can log into Uplay, but game servers may be affected during the period.
Went for a few rounds last weekend, community is pretty strong and friendly , interesting new characters and overall skill level are pretty competitive.
Below you will find some of the priorities that we are currently working towards during the first push during Operation Health. The current goal for the following priorities is to have them completed and included in Patch 2.2.1. That being said, Development is an extremely complex process, and some of these may be bumped to 2.2.2 in an effort to ensure stability. In the coming weeks, we will be expanding on the following topics in their own blogs. We will include more information, as well as answer some questions that you may have. Keep an eye out on the Operation Health web page for the latest updates and information regarding our Priorities! One Step Matchmaking We are focusing on the testing and implementation of One Step Matchmaking. We are currently testing this on the TTS. Map Fixes Our level design team will be taking a pass on all maps to correct various bugs/glitches. Game Crashes Our technical team will be reviewing the layers of code that are leading to game crashes. This will provide you with a more stable playing experience. Hit Boxes Currently being tested on the Technical Test Server, the hit box refactor is continuing to under-go further testing prior to being deployed to the live build of the game. Spawn Killing We have seen the community’s frustrations regarding spawn killing, and our level design teams will be taking steps to mitigate the locations where this is still possible. To be clear, spawn killing is when a Defender is able to kill you within seconds of spawning. Running towards the objective and dying for not using cover is not considered spawn killing. Join in Progress We do not intend for players to be placed into Ranked matches that are already in progress. We are also going to be working on the various bugs encountered by people when they join a match in progress in Casual. Defuser issues (audio, planting, destroying) Interaction with the Defuser is not always fluid and intuitive, and sometimes does not work as intended. We will be doing a pass on the Defuser as a whole to address these issues. The various Defuser issues will be worked on throughout the entirety of Operation Health. Glaz Glaz will be receiving some attention. Stay tuned for details!

Ubisoft had their Q1 financial call last night (that’s Q2 calendar, Q3 in Australia, and Q93 by a Standard Galactic Year, date fans) and were pretty gosh-darn pleased with themselves. The highlight of a number of facts and figures released is that zero-gone-hero FPS Rainbow Six Siege is on track to hit 20 million registered users before the end of this month.

Year 2 Season 3 Kickoff and Sneak Peek 08/14/2017 12:00 PM
Following Operation Health and some of its major updates such as the One-Step Interactive Matchmaking and the release of Alpha Packs, we are glad to officially kickoff our new season set in Hong Kong.
But before we jump in the next season, we would like to thank you for your engagement during Operation Health. As a cornerstone for ensuring our longevity, we are grateful for our players’ continued support and feedback.
Operation Blood Orchid and the S.D.U. In Operation Blood Orchid, two Operators from the Special Duties Unit (S.D.U.) join Team Rainbow to raid the criminal organization squatting our new free map, Theme Park.
And there is more: our new season will feature a driven 30-year-old Operator representing Poland’s Military Unit GROM, who will join Team Rainbow as one of its youngest recruits.
Operation Health Final Phase We will also make a final push for our Operation Health by having optimized and streamlined the memory footprint used for our maps and Operators, making room for the upcoming year. This involves reworking textures, improving dynamic and static lighting, updating our Sky models and the Bidirectional Reflectance Distribution Function (BRDF), and much more.
regular edition you can unlock all the basic operators(characters) within 1-2 days. You can also unlock DLC characters but they will be expensive. Expect a few weeks to a few months of playing before you manage to unlock most of the DLC operators.
All DLCs are free. The season pass just unlocks it for you the moment you own the pass. You can play the game and unlock ALL the characters without paying extra for the pass so to decide which pack to buy depends on your time and wallet.
Got time no money - Regular edition. Play actively and unlock everything with in game credits.
Got money no time - Complete Edition. I personally wouldn't bother with Y2 gold edition. If you intend to get the middle pack rather just go complete.
thanks to a friend for sharing. Basically so long as you purchase any of the R6S packages, u will get store credit back. So long as you want to get something else on the Uplay store. Technically you can just get the base game then use store credit to get season pass.
prior to that - give the game a trial fun since this weekend is free. it is not easy - best with friends. can be toxic, but it is very unique in terms of asymmetrical PvP and design.
