I think ARHD retain all built in bloatware, only the rom creator optimized, tweaked some settings.
I'm using MultiTool advance by Dr.ketan. And those bloatware that not being removed, i freezed them using titanium backup. |

Rooted my N2 (4.4.2) and N3 (4.4.2) using towelroot flawlessly.
Rooted N3 without tripping knox. Knox tripped once i installed twrp. |

QUOTE(mydragoon @ Jul 24 2014, 08:27 AM) i'm happy with ARHD v31 (i think its v31 anyway). Same with me. I was once an anti-TW person, admiring anything except TW. But now, I'm using TW for daily driver so, this will be my new daily use ROM. it's basically stock ROM anyway... Flashed ARHD, remove bloatware using AppMaster/TiBu, done. |

QUOTE(fylon @ Jul 24 2014, 01:56 PM) Cant decide to go with ARHD or DN3 rom now. Depends, ARHD is basically a stock rom without any modification. DN3 have a lot of addon and customization. I'm prefer clean rom, so ARHD is my choice. But anyways, thanks for the heads up. Time to toss coin. LOL So its more like kernel issue? AGNI works for it? Maybe I should give a try for this one and see how it works. Somehow kinda lazy to flash and do restoration. QUOTE(andrekua2 @ Jul 24 2014, 05:33 PM) Personally I moved on to Mi3. I dont think I wanna spent another 2K on phone that are running almost the same hardware as last year. I'm one of lucky Mi3 buyer from 1st batch. Indeed, is a good phone. Loved the hardware but not the software and there's no custom ROM at the moment, no support in XDA due to xiaomi's GPL issue. In the end, i'm back with N2. Mi3 user interface maybe a bit annoying at first, if you are used to Samsung TW UI. Its closer to iOS than TW or other Android launcher. You will be missing some of the features exclusive to Samsung such as swiping to call/message in Phone/Contact app for example. Palm swipe for screenshot. In return, you also will enjoy the FHD screen, speed etc. I prefer Mi3 because its much lighter, better for 1-hand operation and cheap. I dont even care to slap a screen protector. QUOTE(tolaktakjatuh @ Jul 24 2014, 08:12 PM) hi, anyone here using the Miui Dev Rom? How is the battery life? Any hardware not working on dev rom? It's not appropriate to ask this question here since there's a dedicated thread for Mi3. But just to answer your question, battery life almost no difference, no hardware issue. Expect cellular signal issue. |

QUOTE(andrekua2 @ Aug 2 2014, 12:33 AM) Depends. MI3 notification issue, please check your permission setting. Same with you, loved the hardware but not the software, never use their stock launcher, immediately i use nova launcher with kitkat icon pack. For a starter, I got a Mi3 but still reluctant to part with my Note 2. Mi3 is like a dream. Snapdragon 800 provide awesome performance for almost a third of what you usually paid for a Samsung top range. FHD screen and smaller screen which is easier for one hand. Note 2 is still going strong because it really is quite awesome, even by today's standards. S Pen, TW enhancements, and other value added really make it hard for you to decide. On top of these, Mi3 has a couple teething issues with notifications. My gmail has stop notifying me of any new mails. WhatsApp delayed notifications also annoy those who use it a lot. For me, it's all about give and take. I love the performance, hardware, some enhancement but hate the iPhone like UI, no stylus. I could easily get 4 hours even with heavy gaming like coc and boom beach which is hard to get with Note2 if you play these games. Verdict? Love and hate... BTW, my mi3 sold already (bought twice, used twice and sold all of them). My note 2 also waiting for replacement, probably GPro2, after serving me almost 2 years. |

Last week, my brand new LG G2 screen shattered after dropped it on the tarmac, after using it less than 30 minutes. Replaced the whole screen assembly module for RM450.
Yesterday, My Note 2 screen is having problem. Screen not shattered, but under a bright light i can see some hairline crack inside the screen. No display at all so i do not know whether digitizer still works or not. Asked the shop, quoted for rm150 for screen while rm490 with digitizer. Any advise? |

QUOTE(ongdennis @ Aug 11 2014, 03:37 PM) not sure worth it to change or not... I mean, RM150 for the screen only, while RM490 for the screen+digitizer but i think the price is terbalik rite? normally the digitizer is cheaper compare to the screen edit: okay, got you now. I'm not sure the price for the digitizer only. anyone have experience? This post has been edited by neuromancerx: Aug 11 2014, 06:10 PM |

QUOTE(mydragoon @ Aug 12 2014, 09:00 AM) my advise...? try to be more careful... Haha, yes very unlucky. seriously... two screens in about two weeks??! anyway, not really worth repairing the Note 2. it'll cost you about rm640 (i think -- my maths is bad). G2... still ok la though its one generation old phone. we have G3 now. top up a bit... an entry level OnePlus One (16GB) goes for rm900+. there's also XiaoMi phones... 1. Bought G2 at 1.2k+screen repair=can get G3 2. Note 2 screen damage due to my 3 years old son playing racing kart game, "yeay, menang" and throw the phone 3. Before screen damage, already have potential buyer for Note 2, either i get the screen repaired and sold to him (and earn around RM200) or i just keep it for my son. 4. I have been using mi3 before, not happy with MIUI. |
