my friend solve this issue by installing the AGNI kernel and been using the rom more than 220 hours without the memory issue. maybe u can have a try on that.
According to him, no any special setting being done on the kernel.

DN3 got that memory issue as well. i recall someone told me back then... Phoenix also same. need to reboot after a few days else everything become s-l-o-w m-o-t-i-o-n on the phone.

so, gave up and went back to 'stock'. now using ARHD. very happy with it.

Personally I moved on to Mi3. I dont think I wanna spent another 2K on phone that are running almost the same hardware as last year.

Mi3 user interface maybe a bit annoying at first, if you are used to Samsung TW UI. Its closer to iOS than TW or other Android launcher. You will be missing some of the features exclusive to Samsung such as swiping to call/message in Phone/Contact app for example. Palm swipe for screenshot. In return, you also will enjoy the FHD screen, speed etc.

I prefer Mi3 because its much lighter, better for 1-hand operation and cheap. I dont even care to slap a screen protector.

honestly, with Note 3... i didn't think it was impressive enough for me to jump ship. so i stayed with my trusty note 2.

with this coming Note 4... i think its still the same. nothing impressive that will make me really crazy about it. and worse... i fear its going to have even more bloatware... KNOX, Hubs, health apps (that i don't need), UV sensor (which I don't want)... the only thing is... the PEN... which i already have on my Note 2.

Samsung seems to be forgetting the fact that the s-pen makes the Note truly unique. however, they don't seem to be capitalizing on this fact. hardly anything refreshing on the pen.

and i just wish... Samsung would spend their marketing money porting over this game called OKAMI. seriously... its really good and can do with the pen. OKAMI on the Wii was a superb experience which i feel can be replicated on our Note.

true, but the pen can still do a lot more. i mean... more gestures, refined apps and widgets...

take s-planner WIDGET... i can't hover my s-pen over it to view detailed info. i can do that with the email widget.

and s-note... something we love and yet hate... its good but 'closed' system. and the fact that when i update the apps from Samsung Apps/ Hub... i get two dem copies of it (old version vs new version).

Samsung can surely do with some refinements in this area. they need to know that the next battle will be fought on the software battle-field, not hardware.

but i thought on screen... these days... its just three dots that you can put "top top" any screen... no?

but ya... i agree they should just remove that home button.

then again... Samsung's strategy in the past has always been to take on Apple. physical home button is still needed to give Apple converts the feeling of 'home' (on their iPhone).

also, a friend explained to me why a physical button is still useful -- older folks may have problem understanding how on screen or even capacitive button works. with a physical button... they have nothing else but to press the button.

which version u use?
i still using the v8 and it good enough for me. so didnt go try to update the v8.1

if u ask this in the xda tread..
i think they will ask u what recover u use or follow what being suggest in the documentation.

Just use CM11. It's always updated.
End of this month or early next month, CM12 nightlies is coming.
