personally, i dun need all those frills. plus, now knowing that stuff like air gestures don't work... really not sure what else can i expect from custom rom.

and the way things go, seems like i dun think i like DN3v5+ LITE. it caused my phone to lag again over the weekend. the same lag that totally can't let you do anything else other than restart phone. that's 3 times in about 3 weeks.

and i also got this when i tried to make a call.

not what i will call stable ROM. i guess i'm going to flash another ROM soon.

the lag that i mentioned... it comes about after about 1 week of use. there about la... coz i'm using DN3 about 3 weeks now and 3 times kena this thing. it just suddenly slows down so badly... everything is super slow-motion.

if not for the 'lag', i normally dun restart my phone.

i might try this instead of Phoenix, though it means me not getting Note 3 functions. but after DN3, i'm kinda skeptical other ROMS can also give me what i need -- especially since some stuff like Air Gesture needs 'hardware' <-- ya, i'm still sore and dun really buy into this.

so far, only thing i dun like about ARHD is... built-in Adobe Flash... haiz, while everyone's removing it, this one add pulak. I personally think Flash is dying platform and we should all not use it any more.

btw, does ARHD come with hubs? and what bloatware remover are you using?

honestly, i think you just better stick to the original ROM.

and just curious... what concerns do you have regarding KNOX? for most users, it just looks and feels like another apps. you can choose not to enable it. it'll still be there but not really running.

and if KNOX is not really an issue, just update to latest Note 2 firmware.

reason why i suggest u stick to stock is coz... you dun seem to be well versed yet in terms of ROMS, etc... so, save you the headache. stick to stock ROM.

if you read the last few pages of this thread, you'd realise i have some "issues" with the DN3 rom. and many did say in the end, they went back to stock rom.

as noobi3 shared... just use and compare.

4300... almost 1.5x more than the standard battery. should give you at least 40% more usage time.

as for cheap products from china... i'd say there are good ones and there are bad ones. good ones... usually never dirt cheap. they can still be cheaper than other branded ones... but never like waAAAaaAAAaaaAAAay cheaper. <-- i know this can be a bit confusing.

as noobi3 pointed out again... and i have to agree... yes, there are times when we may have a lot to lose.

for me, i don't mind trying things that poses little risk -- like memory cards (to store no critical stuffs).

things like food, battery (which can explode), baby stuffs (where the paint, etc may content harmful substances), i try to avoid...

got it from Groupon. i think about that price for the 64GB. i think the Groupon deal might still be there...

tested with a few videos, including some 1080p...

bought my SanDisk 64Gb from IPMart about 6-8 months back. it started to die on my. now claiming from IPmart. but have to say... their claims is really like turtle. almost a month now and no updates...:S

2 weeks back, i contacted SanDisk and they said i could actually RMA directly with them. the whole process should take 2-3 weeks. now regret. should have just deal directly with Sandisk.

definitely not liking DN3 v5+ Lite. i think i've used it for almost a month and... at least once a week, it'll slow on me, forcing me to reboot.

so, going to try Phoenix. another ROM with Note 3 features, but honestly, if its anything like DN3, i dun think i'll actually appreciate.

i realised i hardly make use of the fan menu. and its got no floating browser which i sorely miss. i can't even recall what Note 3 function that i used from DN3.

so, I might just try out the ARHD after Phoenix.

see how... maybe ARHD is all i need. a slim and fast ROM. with good battery.

ok, in that case, i'll skip Phoenix and go with ARHD.

dr ketan... i thought he gave up Note 2 liao? sorry... didn't really follow what is happening. i just need a good working ROM. i know he's got good reputation but at one time, recall he said he's stopping dev for Note 2 and going note 3...

i am on TWRP 2.7.2.0.

was going to flash ARHD ROM. from TWRP, i cleared/ wipe cache, etc... but accidentally also formatted internal storage.

now... i can't mount my external SD. i can't mount, i can't flash the ZIP file. go into download mode but somehow the PC is not detecting the phone... how? how? :S

nvm... i think i just figured out how to use the SIDELOAD in ADB.

now pushing the file... praying hard...

all ok now. managed to get the ROM flashed. running ARHD now.
