As you may have noticed, a couple of days ago we released a teaser video on our YouTube channel which hinted that Fable Anniversary is coming to PC. If you missed the video, then here it is:
Today we’re very excited to confirm that it’s all true! Fable Anniversary is indeed winging its way to Steam later this year.
When this year, you ask? Well… we’ve hidden that somewhere in the teaser video! Some of you have already found it, but if you haven’t we’d suggest watching it again. It’s pretty obvious once you know where to look.

Lionhead's Fable Anniversary releases on PC September 12th
QUOTE
The remastered Fable Anniversary, whereby Lionhead took the original game and The Lost Chapters add-on and remade it using Unreal Engine 3, will be finally coming to PC next week.
So far it had only been released for Xbox 360, disappointing original PC fans of the Lionhead Studios RPG. Now we'll be chicken-chasing with a better graphics engine through Steam.
The original Fable had its share of foibles but is still regarded as the best entry in the series, thanks to its sole focus on the adventuring hero lifestyle it embraced. There are some extra treats for PC like additional costumes and of course Steam achievements. Check out the Fable Anniversary trailer below and prepare to face the new Heroic difficulty mode.
What's next, a remastered Black & White? Sounds like there's petition somewhere that needs signing...
Don't know if it will work for MY but according to Siliconera, Fable Anniversary pre-order is 20% off at most digital retailers and GMG takes one step further with a stackable 25% off coupon, making it a total of 40% off for the Lionhead remake.

Fable Anniversary can be modded, "anything our artists and animators can do"
QUOTE
Lionhead Studios have made some diehard Fable fans feel chuffed as they announce the imminently due Fable Anniversary for PC will fully support mods from the community.
While not at launch, which is tomorrow, they will be adding in full Steam Workshop support. The possibilities are enticing, although community-made quests aren't possible.
You needn't even go as far as that anyhow, with Fable known for its 'social gestures' with NPCs - the mod community can start working on their own for laughs. Baby steps.
Producer Craig Oman revealed that Fable Anniversary comes with a version of the Unreal Engine 3 editor letting Albion's fans jump in and start tinkering. "This means that anything our artists and animators can do, the mod community will now be able to do," he said. While not as likely to be swamped in mods like Skyrim, it's at least a start.
"...we are working with some of the modding community already as part of our beta testing and we will continue to do what we can to support them post launch," he continued. "Personally I just hope someone creates a sci-fi version of Fable!" So while we may not be able to create our own string of quests, there could at least be huge art overhauls.
Also, Lionhead Studios has added a new Heroic Mode difficulty for "advanced players only", in case you want to go a little Dark Souls in Albion. Enemies have better line of sight, and our ranged weapons do reduced damage with our armour levels also nerfed. Fable Anniversary releases on PC tomorrow, September 12th.
nothing much impressed with it. just graphic update. and no mouse support which is terrible if you're going to play it with mouse and keyboard. the game is build around controller so you need a controller to play it properly. they revamp the inventory system, which kinda messy for me. hard to scroll through the items. combat much as same as TLC.
if you're going to play using mouse and keyboard, better stick to Fable TLC.
