i went to SEMC at Amcorp... as few ppl took the Mi3 for warranty claim but mostly screen issue or restart issue...
got issue but again not sure how bad is it...

Don't have high hopes, they are 3rd party service centres.

Hope is better than Nokia SC, previously own a N77, just over a year sent for repair, tell me no parts & donno how to repair, end up throw into recycle bin..lol

Blackberry SC tell me need to sent to Singapore to have simple part replace, as to wait for a month...pengsan..

I came from the galaxy s3 anyone notice if on waze it locates itselfs quite slow initially? I find the s3 when you turn on waze it searches its position quicker .

for moderate usage, 3050mAh battery in mi3 should give you around 6-7 hours of SOT. If you're on low signal coverage areas, you'll get less time. Most power is consumed by the big screen and 3G data connection apart from the cpu on performance mode.

Oppo which model? If find 7 no need compare as s3 is old phone 

Well,its subjective,Nokia camera are great but generally ppl said it good without any good reason    and i don't consider wp8 as a great platform(owned lumia b4)

Despite i hate samsung,can't deny bout they camera department

s3 can't even fight with oppo camera lah.. samsung camera sux compare to nokia.

For those who want to keep using your old... Phone, I just got this to say. It's hard to teach an old dog new tricks. 

other then the specs, android/software side <-certain phone can be install custom rom to be on par to nexus series (latest 4.4.3) which IMO Plain Android > whatever mod android. Thus making software side not much different.

well,as you said,performance wise if not a thing to you,why bother upgrade? since u dont appreciate change in pixel density and overall speed,or even camera.

then only thing u wanna ask is ui,hence miui vs touchwiz,
thats is subjective,some ppl like miui(u use s3 for 2 years,u must know miui by now),some ppl hate it,with no chance of flashing 3rd party rom,you cant escape from miui,but thats not a bad thing.

everything is smooth and speedy than touchwiz(ram consume is minimal),miui is very lightweight(400+for firmware) but functional and got tons of customization without root(everything can be change with just theme,like old style phone )

only draw back to miui is not as many feature as touchwiz(smart rotation,stay,svoice,multiwindow),but thats a good thing,in my 3 years of using samsung(ace,s2,briefly s3),those feature are cool but practically useless in my personal usage,thats why i flash other rom into it

multimedia wise not that different,its not like touchwiz videoplayer can offer any better(end up with mx player anyway), music wise,the sound is good,mi3 using same soundchip with iphones(try google),the music player is simple but functional.

service center wise,not many ppl can answer you(some of the forummer did),but i guess its not gonna be huge different than other brand sc,but rest assure,xiaomi is here to stay,they know how big potential malaysia is(according to president of xiaomi and hugo barra)

well,just throw ur s3 away,samsung done playing with you,they dint even bother put kitkat on ur device(but did on 512ram device),and imho,s3 is the ugliest phone there if i have to pick one.

Want to ask.. Just heard about this Xiaomi brand, so don't think I have enough time to do research about this Mi3 phone since the sales is starting in a few hours time. Anyways, long time didn't check out phones already and damn outdated(but not a tech noob, so you can put in whatever tech terms,etc).

Currently using an S3. Planning to get my younger brother a smartphone. Plan was either i buy this Mi3 and give the S3 to him or I keep the S3 and give him the Mi3 and then probably change to an S5 or wait for Note 4 (depending on below)

S3 or MI3 is a better phone? If it is, how such? (better camera? what about multimedia like watching videos and listening songs(i'm pretty happy with Samsung's multimedia features from Gallery to the Music&Video player, or gaming wise? What about UI, TouchWiz vs MIUI? Will it be very different or any peculiarities? those kinda things...)
Is there a vast difference between them? (would be helpful to list like an example vs example)

and also, Mi3 is comparable to what other 'top' phones?(don't care which manufacturer be it Samsung, HTC, Apple, etc)

Should I try my luck later and make the jump?

and do fill me in with other infos about this phone..

Sidenote: If I'm getting the phone, plan to get the 13k powerbank too! Any reviews about it? Really tempting @ 36 bucks only..

yes, this is what i like, i even apply sp on the phone, so equal to 2x protection, no need flip the "window", also can use the phone, no different at all, very sensitive...
