Ok, installed the Google Now Launcher, it's smooth and snappy. I didn't notice any lag at all.

Start adding widgets and see.
*
Still no lag on my phone after I flood 5 pages of screen with widgets. What widget do you put in when you test? I'd put youtube widget, antutu widget, calender, newstand, and poweramp to test. Transition between screens with no noticeable lag.

Correction Snapdragon 801 MSM8974 actually.
*
Mi3 is using MSM8274. MSM8974 is able to support LTE connection, otherwise it's totally the same with MSM8274.

OK I managed to reinstall 4.6.6 Dev ROM from a clean install by wiping all data. Trusted WA, google play services and google framework. Managed to get instant notifications from WA momentarily but the issue of not receiving notifications came back again. Anyone still facing this issue? Had to lock WA in the background now. Still monitoring on the battery drain.
*
It's a known issue for now. Locking it on the task manager is the temporary solution for now, just wait for them to fix this bug, hopefully at this Friday's update.

This Friday they have an update for the Dev Rom? I need to download and transfer to my phone right? Will I lose everything? hmm.gif
*
Developer rom will get updates every Friday, in MIUI community they called it Orange Friday.

You won't lose everything, just use updater app to update or download from PC and transfer to phone and flash manually without wiping your data and cache.

" 3. If you update across different versions (i.e. Update from stable version to developer version), please fully wipe all data to avoid data conflict. And please don't forget to back up data before flashing (Settings-System-Backup & reset-Back up my data)"

http://en.miui.com/thread-23486-1-1.html

MIUI suggest to fully wipe data to avoid conflict, who did the flash without wiping the data, and no issue so far? Please share some light. Im currently in stable ROM. Thxs smile.gif
*
Preferably to wipe the data and cache, but if you really don't want to do so, you can just wipe it manually in app setting if any of the apps show error or crashes.

QUOTE(biju @ Jun 9 2014, 04:30 PM)
when new stable version will come for MI 3  ? sad.gif dev rom change so fast fast.. need to do so many thing for that...
*
Once the developers of MIUI feels that it is stable enough to be released to normal user then there'll be an update for stable version. Just wait, I wasn't too sure though usually the period of releasing new updates for stable rom.

The tray issue is common, all of us is facing that.

A bit warm is normal, I usually surf using conserve mode and I don't the feel heat as I have a flip cover on.

ive just got my xiaomi but its from china, i can only run on 2g and no google play store

any link that can help me flash to malaysia version ?
*
Considering your unit is from China and it's running only on 2g network, I assume yours is TDCMA version where the chipset is using Nvidia Tegra. There's only China ROM for TDCMA version and no other else.
