Why annoying ? Why u wanna long press home button in lock screen ? It does nothing apart from switching on the torch light, in fact is a convenient function that only don't need to go all the way into the apps folder & find torch widget in case emergency.

Still there is a way though, go to setting - about phone continue tapping the android version (aka 4.3 JLS36C) repeat it for 7 times, you will activate the developer option in setting, once go in developer option in setting, on the developer option, then on skip screen lock, this mean you no longer need to go thru the screen lock, so it also mean home capacitive button no longer activate the torch light. (But in return you may acidentally dial a number or activate an apps & etc when you put it in a pocket, since screen lock no longer function & you can't set pin, password or pattern to lock your phone from other user).

I guess Maxis & Digi had grab a lot of units, probably Xiaomi also wanna hold on to selling directly to avoid conflict with Telco deal, if every week Xiaomi selling who would wanna buy Digi or Maxis plan?

Anyway is merely RM 889 phone, if got new model, then sell off Mi3 & buy Mi3s ... Wakakaka , if bought Rm 2399 S5 & 2 months later got Galaxy F aka S5 Prime then real heart pain lah.. Sigh

Then just delayed the long press to 2 seconds unless u hold the button long2 time or else will not be activate the torch, but offcoz other long press function like long press menu or back button to activate Kill task or close apps also long... press lah.

Just work around it many issue can be solved, you can too suggest in Miui forum to have the function to be disabled thru settings maybe they will implement it in future firmware update, this is good thing about Xiaomi Miui compare to other UI like touch wizz or sense probably couldn't care if u like it or not.

He is talking about to disable the Home button torch light function, so far no direct disable control, either disable the lock screen function in developer option or delay the long press to avoild accidentaly on the torch light, but for me no issue in fact quite useful.

For those with doubtful on Xiaomi quality, reliability, usability or etc, please don't buy & don't log in on next Tuesday, so that those genuine buyer who believe in Xiaomi product can buy it easier.

I do hope xiaomi will implement black list those who simply order for fun or scalpers who will only pay if able to get water fish to buy over their order at high price, eg if anyone order but never pay for 2 occasion, just blacklist them & don't allowed them to order for next round, if they continue to do so ban them totally.

Go to the setting there is a check box on tradisional chinese, just uncheck it, then all the typing will be in simplified chinese.

Setting - Language & Input - then tap the little arrow next to Google Pinyin Input - Input - just uncheck the Tradisional Chinese.

Yes 100% confirmed is true, Mi3 lag event on typing, in fact whole phone lag very badly, please don't buy, tell all your Family, Relatives, friends, colleges, in fact any one you meet, post it on your FB, Wechat, Line, tell them don't take risk to buy on next Tuesday sales.

I am using paypal link to maybank cc, no additional charges, heard cimb got additional charges, other bank not sure, i guess is base on individual bank charges, nothing to do with Xiaomi or Paypal.
