recently i tried to do some research what's the maximum volume this phone can support.. it's because seem like there's no limit but i try once setting the default 7 volume to 10. the phone is automatically decrease the sound to volume 2... i just can set the maximum volume to 9. when i tried to set back the volume to 7.. the phone denied the setting and the volume is still 2. the only way to save that thing is restore the backup... and it saves my phone again... fuhhhh

no problem.. now i'm using different gain_table again... i found that when set the bass sound to 14 is not increasing the sound but actually decrease the volume sound itself.. the maximum volume is just 9.

just simply adjust gain_table speaker setting to avoid crack sound.. set external speaker mp3/midi/video gain to 3-5.

at last i know what's the problem with my converter bought from ah kit recently.. when i press the button without free, it produces stereo sound.. yesterday i opened the converter housing to check out if there's anything wrong inside the unit.. i found that there's missing wire inside.. one port didn't have wire connected in. then, i took another wire to soldered there.. now it's working fine.. but i can't use handsfree/mic.. when first bought this unit already got damaged...

i'm using this setting when using motorola stock earphone.. it's great though with extra bass..

Master Volume = standard 0 - 7
Speakers --> mp3/midi/video gain = 5

Wired headset --> mp3/midi/video gain = 2
Wired headset --> bass tremble gain = 8/9

Param_table.bin all vibrate off set to 248. vibrate on set to 0.

Firmware 373/42R (really save the battery and a bit lag though ) Back In Black Monster Pack bootscreen patched to 42R...

mega bass sux like hell lol

megabass is just a marketing gimmick so that ppl will actually buy the phone just for that feature. u can get a good bass without megabass if u get a nice pair of headphones or u can just put a pair of earphone buds to your normal earphone. last time got ppl selling earphone buds for ipod, i dunno if its still available now...

actually there's a program called gp realtime editor that u can adjust ur gaintable realtime within the phone. but ur phone need to have elektro255 mp inside...

some e398 mention here before with using of 1GB memory card.

but not all phone can use 1gb.

i tested with my fren's 1 gig card and it can read it flawlessly and tom is using a 1 gig card since last yr ard august...

i'm so lucky.. my phone just back from the dead.. haha... Recently i was compiling the dsp using shx codec program and then flashed it to my phone.. it was successful. suddenly my phone stop responding when i'm press 'on' button, the screen was blank at that time... i tried to boot in normal process but still fail.. did it so many times till my phone's battery out of resources... after charged the battery to full using another desktop charger.. i tried to boot in normal process again and then plugged in usb cable to my phone.. i wondered why my computer still can detect my phone but on the phone's screen still blank.. i'm using multiflashflex to flash another dsp but it's not working... i found that on the status there show me 'blank neptune...bla..bla..'. i plugged off the usb cable and did force-boot process.. it was not that easy to short those pins because it's too small and it's became harder when you wanna put in the battery into the compartment to force-boot.. then tried another method, let the battery inside the compartment first.. then shorted the pins again but this time while shorting the pins i'm pressing 'on' button.. after 10 minutes been trying it, i was successful boot into bootloader mode.. i did flashed previous mp including the dsp file.. this time it's work and my phone is survive again ...
