after i enrolled in f6 and learned for about 2 weeks... nw my rayuan for matrik was accepted.. and i get KMJ! JOHOR!!! n im from KEDAH cry.gif
well.. im thinking whether to go or not..my parents let me decide myself (actually dad dont want i go and mum wished i go rclxub.gif ) last time i really wished to enter matric as only 1 year and ppl say it is easy to score 4flat compared to stpm..
but after i entered for f6 for almost 1month.. orientation for 2 week and studied for 2 week.. i fall in love in f6 actually.. biggrin.gif ( one of the reason is bcz... we actually no need to wear school uni like othr school.. tongue.gif )

my teachers told us that form6 learn more.. more deeper than matrik.. so 1st year in degree wont suffer so much..

i dont want to do medic in future.. perhaps..i wished to do engineering or acturial sc..

i knw f6 will be really tough.. but im sure that i can work hard for something i aimed for

is it a wise choice if i continue my form6 and decline matric offer?? icon_question.gif

Go matriks if you want to study in local uni.
Faster and easier to earn a place in public uni.

If local uni is your choice, then go for matrics. But if u want a challenge and a shot at going overseas, then form 6. Form 6 will give you a stronger foundation but it is harder and riskier. Matrics is easier but you will close opportunities to go to overseas uni.

So its up to you. Play it safe and go for matrics, or take the risk and choose STPM.

From personal experience (I did form 6), nothing beats the achievement of pwning STPM. Haha
I didn't apply for matrics at all, because I didn't want to give up the hope of going overseas. In the end I was forced to do STPM to save money. And right now, while I'm waiting to go into uni, and hopefully go overseas, I can tell u that it is very expensive to go abroad.

I'm a former KMPh student last year . matriculation kinda sucks if you are not there to study . yeah will learn deeper but it is damn hard to survive in matric before of the fast learning flow compared to form . i suggest if you go to KMj , you take module 2 (physics) . i took module 3 & score 4 flat d.goodluck smile.gif

Form 6
-> Engineering.. Yes.
-> Actuarial Science... hard even for 4 flat.

Matriculation
-> Engineering.. Yes.
-> Actuarial Science.. Yes.

But there is a catch behind, if you get 4 flat in STPM, you can opt to study in foreign universities like NTU and NUS which are more reputable than IPTA.. and they are glad to enroll high scorers. nod.gif Meanwhile for IPTA... the intake qualification is not as transparent as Singapore universities who post out the students' pre-u CGPA for last intake.

Think of it. icon_rolleyes.gif

hi there, I am 2013/2014 batch senior from KMJ at tangkak, I was actually 2nd intake and studied STPM for 2 weeks before entering KMJ. My advise is you take matriculation offer at all cost and you will never regret. Once you entered matrik everything will be easy, easy 4 flat and easy ko-k mark some more you can save one year to enter university compared to STPM student. If I were STPM graduate I have to wait for next year September for uni intake instead of this year September intake. Do remember this : matrik student has higher priority to get place in uni compared to stpm student

anyway, I achieved 4 flats in all four exams in KMJ, UPS 1, PSPM 1, UPS 2 and PSPM 2 (from module 2 computer science student)

Me too... cry.gif I thought my 8A+ 2A result would be enough to get me in the second intake. Meanwhile my bumi neighbour 2A 2A- mediocre result got in easily. f*** this racist government. I will work overseas once I graduate. Their loss... (I'm still really bitter about this injustice)

I've met a girl who got 3A n speaks lousy English but managed to save a spot for matriculation. I guess I'm already used to seeing all these scene that's why I don't really have any feeling lol. Literally just gave up on matriculation after the first intake.

Btw I'm happy doing form6 currently smile.gif

I've yet to start studying form 6 because I had to go for PLKN. How is it? Is the Form 6 syllabus significantly harder than Form 5?

Ummm that's a harsh way to put it, but I get it that you're upset.

I got in ( first intake ) although I'm a Lain-lain. I applied for the hell of it, just to test my chances. A Chinese dude without straight A's got in after appealing.

Well, what to do, let's work hard for Form 6 since getting scholarship using STPM result is even easier if we manage to get 4-flat.
